Obama had no choice. Senator Feingold was quick to criticize Obama for opting out of public financing. He didn't seem to consider the fact that the corporate media would provide HUNDREDS of millions of dollars of pro McCain and anti-Obama "ads" (sometimes taking the form of actual ads, other times just the talking heads continually attacking Obama while propping up McCain). Cable news has become for the most part a 24/7 McCain infomercial (of course we have the 2 hours of Countdown which just PROVES that MSNBC is fair and balanced).
I think it has now become obvious to any idiot with half a brain that it would have been STUPID for Obama to accept public financing because it would have made it even more difficult for him to combat the media, the RNC, the McCain campaign, and others.
So I'm asking, when will Senator Feingold come out and admit that Obama displayed good judgment in opting out of public financing because until something is done about the corporate control of our media, campaign finance reform is meaningless?
The power of the lobbyists in Washington DC pales in comparison to our corporate media.
