Barack Does Not Need to Negatively Campaign--But He Does Need to Factually Campaign
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 01:23 PM by texastoast
Obama doesn't want to lower himself to grovel for votes the way whore McFraid is willing to do. And Barack should not.

All he needs to do is to let McCain do the talking and let the facts speak for themselves. Over and over McStupid droned, "He does not understand," "He does not understand," "He does not understand . . . ."

Barack needs to show that and to show how, "Um, yes, Senator McCain, I understand very well."

And every time McLame slings a turdblossom Obama's way, let the catcher's mitt of fact sling it back in the pukes' faces with grace and determination, pointing out that Obama recognizes that no American will be misled by the antics of the fear mongerers when refutation is clear and unequivocal. That raises consciousness for the voters.

There is more than one way to go on the offensive.

1. But a large percentage of voters don't know the facts
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 01:30 PM by FreakinDJ
They don’t take the time to read

The don’t know how to decipher the propaganda / hate emails

And surely you are not expecting the corporate run media to enlighten them to the truth

Obama needs to take control of the conversation. He needs to challenge the public with doing the math, waking up and realizing their futures have been pawned off to corporations by the likes of George Bush and John McCain.

Security? - Ever heard of Economic Warfare?

3. Put the focus back on the economy
Stop trying to campaign on McCain's ONLY issue; terrar and war. It's the number one issue with the public now. The horrible economy IS.

6. Better yet - "Future Economy" - what lays ahead
Knowing McCain's economic advisor Gram we ALL know it would be 4 more years of the same corporate "Socialised Losses and Private profits" just as in the S&L bail out.

9. The economy is a HUGE card for Obama
Especially if someone will focus on the fact that it was Phil Gramm who lobbied for the deregulation of the banking industry so as to facilitate this freaking bailout mortgage crisis.

Gramm and his ilk PLANNED for the taxpayers to bail out Wall Street.

Those are the facts. McCain can look it up.

It's Obama's job to bring that. In a timely fashion.

10. Not to mention -
Wasn't McCain the 1 who sponsored the legislation that created the "Enron Loophole" all the Energy speculators have been using to rape the American voting public

11. As I recall, yes
None of these issues is "negative."

Barack needs only to ask if the American people want more legislation like that. If the American people want to be unprotected while the corporations get all the protection.

Then point out the facts about how the mortgage crisis and the Enron debacle happened: "Less oversight, more sharks." And McCain chose Jaws himself who likely is still quietly advising him in the background.

Obama can make some hay with this and damned well should. He should show folks how it needs to "change."

And all this in a 30-second ad. :kick:

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/07/22/forbes-on-gramm/

Forbes says Phil Gramm may still be advising McCain.

Last week, Phil Gramm stepped down as co-chair of the McCain campaign after calling America a “nation of whiners” locked in a “mental recession.” But yesterday on CNBC’s Kudlow and Company, top McCain surrogate Steve Forbes said Gramm’s advice would still be accepted by McCain:

FORBES: Oh, I think in terms of advice Phil Gramm will be critical, which is good because on things like trade he is absolutely right. I think John McCain has a long friendship with Phil Gramm, so this was something, Phil Gramm said something that you’re not supposed to say these days, and he paid a price for it, but in terms of the relationship, I think it’s as strong as ever, and in the McCain administration, I think Phil Gramm’s advice will be taken to heart.

5. Marshaling the facts- using McCain's own statements in a way that reflects poorly on him
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 02:25 PM by depakid
IS "negative" campaigning.

And if the campaign crafts its attacks forcefully and directly enough- the media WILL talk about it.

Indeed, many of their "best and brightest" will go apoplectic.

7. In that sense, I guess you could call it "negative"
As long as it is factual.

There are those lockstep pukes who will always be "facts be damned, I'm voting Republican." No one is going to get through those thick skulls with anything. But I do believe that is only about 1 in 5 voters.

8. "These attacks are beneath John McCain"
"why does McCain keep insulting himself like this?"
