The Republican on tv was just saying that Obama was specifically bringing up race in response to the Paris Hilton ad (ignoring the fact that he HAS been bringing it ip since before then- in fact, the Repub called it the "ad about offshore drilling" and Andrea Mitchell had to say "and Britney spears...") to escape the policy questions attached. It's such a load of bullshit...The Republicans have made it clear that the only way they can win this thing is by making it about Obama's character...they could have done an ad about Offshore drilling and make it a positive ad, but they make the retarded "Obama is Dr No" or "Obama is Paris Hilton!" ads that distract from the issue completely.

MCCAIN is the one who takes personal offense when someone brings up a legitimate policy question for him. Hillary Rosen was ok just now, but I wish someone would mention that when Obama brought up that McCain was opposed to the GI Bill, McCain lashed out and said that no one should dare question him on military issues because Obama hadn't served in the military like he has, completely evading making it a response about the policy objections that he had to the GI Bill.

I know that I shouldn't watch cable, but it's such a load of bullshit. Any of us would be MUCH better against these lying pigs.

1. Relax
Negative campaigning is as old as politics itself, and it should not surprise you what the Repubs do in their ads.

Altough I did hear one "race comment" that I thouhgt was inappropriate. It was a black guy (forget his name) who was an Obama supporter. He said calling Obama arrogant was a racial jab because we would never call a white person arrogant. I thought this was excessive. I don't think arrogance has color attached to it, so this was an example of crying foul when it was not necessary.

Prepare for worse attacks.

2. sorry, self-indulgent complaining about the media is a favorite part of general election season.
point taken. I know worse is coming, but this stuff just annoys me in particular.
