A Clueless McCain / America’s Future At Risk

By John - July 31, 2008

New Hope

Cast your mind forward to November 4th. It falls on a Tuesday this year. A day when many Americans are hoping to experience much more than the usual political anticipation and excitement of a Super Tuesday. A day of reckoning when those who have endured the cost, pain and embarrassment of the Bush terms of office, seek to elect a new President who they hope will make their life better, make them feel safer, and be someone whom they can trust.

The question to which only posterity will deliver the answer is; will America’s Commander in Chief number 44, be the hotheaded, ageing and ignorant Republican John McCain or the well balanced and provably talented Democratic candidate Barack Obama? The answer should be simple. However as we all know, in politics there is no such thing as a certainty.

McCain’s Integrity

If voters are influenced by TV political advertising regardless of the veracity and integrity of the message, then dyed in the wool Republicans will likely vote for McCain. Others including Independents and disillusioned Republicans in view of the state of the country’s affairs, may pause to consider this time. Three months out from the November 4th election, a number of scurrilous McCain TV ads replete with lies about Barack Obama are now appearing accompanied by the message. “I am John McCain and I approve this message”. This at last, is the real John McCain. The attack ads reveal his desperation. With time slipping away any further pretence of personal ethics has been unceremoniously tossed over the side. (navy talk) In fact right from the start, his deceit is reflected and pompously displayed by his campaign bus signage, which promotes another McCain myth. A claimed reputation for “Straight Talk?” Some myth.

This is the the same candidate who via false smiles attempts to make light of corrupt behaviour when forced to admit that he has lied repeatedly. A personal fault which he attributes in his words to, ”ambition”. Straight talk? A dangerous and stupid man I’d say. A Captain Clueless in fact. That’s no lie. That’s straight talk.
