1. The only people I have ever heard use the phrase
"Playing the Race Card" are people who I have heard make bigoted and racist remarks in the past. I have only heard this from people who I have already decided were racist. Why else would they say it?

by She we will not name.

5. McCain has been playing it in code, and Barack baited them with that...
..."looking different than the presidents on the dollar" comment to get it out into the open.

7. I've yet to see
Mention of the fact that they're invoking a quote from Robert Shapiro after the OJ trial about dealing the race card from the bottom of the deck. What better way to play the race card than hearkening back to OJ. This after the Brittney/Paris ad which was eerily similar to the "Playboy Party" ad which was so effective against Harold Ford. Racism has been the Republican's stock in trade for years. Too bad the press is too "polite" to ever call them on it.

10. Anyone watching Race to the White House
David Gregory was being a giant prick as usual and Eugene kind of sheepishly said "Uh, the RNC does not have the best history when it comes to racially related attacks, I don't think that it's THAT out of the ordinary that we could expect some Republicans to eventually use that against Obama..." David Gregory started screeching "But Obama brought it up!" Oh yeah, David. The repukes are pure as the driven snow.

11. Damn, David--did you already forget the 2000 republican campaign where the Republicans
used race against one of their own--the one who is using race to win NOW?

What am I saying--of course he forgot that.

12. Jill Zuckerman from Chicago Tribune kind of brings this up on Hardball
However, she does NOT mention that these assholes are now working for McCain. She said something like "McCain knows what it is like to be attacked racially" or some shit. As in "The McCain campaign would NEVER do this after what was DONE TO HIM!" Oh yeah, John Mccain...the poor oppressed black man, lol. I would feel sorry for him if he did not employ those douches now. Maverick my ass.

24. Exactly. He hired the same guy who ran the Bush campaign last time out..
to run his campaign. The guy is on direct dial with Karl Rove, you can be sure of that. McCain knew exactly what he was doing when he hired these people.

The whole concept is stupid anyway. The white person trying to be the victim in race issues just doesn't fly.

20. Yes and if you saw McCain's interview with John King yesterday..
he knows it. He just couldn't hide it. The whole thing was bizarre. Where is McCain the cocky maverick. They sucked all the life out of him. He's like some kind of zombie.

it is played in the general.

I think it is a mistake to use race to win. By anyone.
