18. oh yeah... and Gregory used it to BLAME Obama for making this a story!
he said that nobody would have noticed this, had Obama not objected so strongly to the song, after telling everybody that O had said Ludacris is on his IPOD, and that he MET with him earlier

what an asshole

hey, clue for you, Dave! it's already up on Drudge. do you think the pugs were going to ignore this?

they commented, in a memo accompanying the rock star ad, on what he EATS, and how often celebs like him go to the gym (three times a day!)

no comment on how sleazy that memo was, huh, Dave?

good thing Rachel went ballistic over it....most angry I've ever seen her on that show

10. Obama's response:
"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

smeared left and right and his comeback is a gentle chiding of McCain. He's not going to fight back because thats not how he operates. They'll define him just like they defined John Kerry, Al Gore, Michael Dukakis and Walter Mondale.

And they will use those lyrics to smear and hurt him and it will succeed. They're building their narrative and voters will buy it. McCain is safe, Obama is a scary black man. But thats just my opinion....

with other mccain ads that not only want to link him to ludacris, but to paris hilton and brittany spears. There are some pop culture icons the Obama campaign can do without.

I support free speech 100% and the first amendment, but first and foremost, I WANT TO GET OBAMA ELECTED.

I'm real fucking tired of being put in the position of wasting precious media time taking up for rev wright, jesse jackson and now ludicrous. The Obama campaign is bigger and better than that.

Just because a large part of du is above the fray and thinks that ignoring the MSM will make it go away, doesn't mean that the ridiculous, ignorant, completely fabricated talking points they put out daily without repute, will not get some traction and sway votes.

I wish it wasn't true, but alas, it is what it is. Some of us may have to lower our standards and get our hands a little dirty and at least try to stop the slime machines from taking our candidate down.

It's a dirty job, but some of us will have to step up and do it. E-mails, phone calls, whatever it takes.
