"The biggest purge of voters in history" ... (2008)
-Greg Palast.

In swing-state Colorado, the Republican Secretary of State conducted the biggest purge of voters in history, dumping a fifth of all registrations. Guess their color.

In swing-state Florida, the state is refusing to accept about 85,000 new registrations from voter drives – overwhelming Black voters.

In swing state New Mexico, HALF of the Democrats of Mora, a dirt poor and overwhelmingly Hispanic county, found their registrations disappeared this year, courtesy of a Republican voting contractor.

In swing states Ohio and Nevada, new federal law is knocking out tens of thousands of voters who lost their homes to foreclosure.

3. Oh, but American Idol is on ... so so much for the revolution
People just shrug. I know even self-described liberals who think that rigged elections aren't true because "the media would have covered it." :eyes:

12. It is, and it apparently isn't
The right to vote is no longer guaranteed. It hasn't been for some time now.

13. There's a chapter in "Armed Madhouse" that explores this.
Very interesting, but infuriating reading.

First they purge the rolls, then destroy provisional ballots when the "purged" later attempt to challenge and vote.

Classic Repiglicon and very effective.

They are starting to challenge "voter fraud" in Battleground States with Democratic Governors, as well - read an article from Va. today regarding this phenomenon.

They know they will have to pull out ALL the stops to rig THIS ONE.

19. THANK YOU - THIS is why we need a FEATURED BOARD on election fraud 08

We need rapid response.

There ARE things that can be done. But, first, we must expose it.

We CAN fight back.

22. DEBBIERLUS - AGREED! DU ADMINS PLEASE ANSWER THIS REQUEST!
I have long thought we need like an action board on here that specifically, not only details what's going on, but directs us each day how we can group together to push for change to happen. As we know in life, change ONLY happens when people join together... If we addressed these facts from the OP to Barack, he would shake his head and say it's not right and people need to help keep this from happening - but with all that's going on in our own lives, it's hard to figure out what to do and when - but if we spent our time organzing in one action forum - we could do a LOT more than we each do separately!

Seeing they're doing this again really makes me

20. Federal election laws for all states
Same day voter registration. Same requirements for all states. Voting requirements in a federal election is a federal issue not a state issue. Its the only solution to this.
