I now believe that McCainus' candidacy is a Republick dirty trick. Here's why...
1. In looking at his campaign, it becomes apparent that he's just phoning it in. His performance gives the impression of a person unprepared, unmotivated and unbelievably mistake prone. All this to a point where one must ask "is he doing this on purpose?"

2. There is absolutely no positive message in his narrative. The entire focus has been attacking Obama. Why? Everyone expects attacks, but there has to be some narrative of a positive vision.

3. The Cheney Method. Cheney knew he was always going to be Doofus' VP. But he also knew that any scrutiny of his Halliburton gig would damage their campaign. So their ruse was to interview the VP candidates, and then appoint himself. Why? No time for scrutiny. It seems to have worked perfectly for them.

I believe they have McCainus out there to be a front man for the negative crap, and when there is a short enough period before election day, their "Cheney" is nominated; either Gh9ui11ani or Romney.

What is happening right now only makes sense in this context.

1. Notice that they're attacking Obama through the military and the Pentagon--that
Edited on Mon Jul-28-08 04:54 PM by wienerdoggie
is the GOP's all-powerful secret weapon. And since McShitstain is a "war hero", they're hoping Obama can't fight back without looking like he's attacking a "war hero"--notice how quickly they disposed of Clark, at least in the media?

5. Mitt & Jeb
The Bush Crime Family has ordered it to be so. It is a setup for Jeb 2012. They know that Jeb has no chance at the Pres. spot this time, so they are priming the pump.

6. So, do you think it's going to be Cheney as the Republican candidate?
Get somebody running that is so scary that no Republican would cross him or the infrastructure he's built in the last 8 years?

His VP could be the guy they really want. Jeb for instance.

12. Giuliani is just corrupt. I don't think he's very smart though.
Cheney has been in the mix for decades.

I see Giuliani as more of a lackey.

He's not going to be their candidate after the convention.

10. Perhaps that is what Mc Same and poppy Bush were discussing
When they met.
How to drop the bait and switch on us.
I would put nothing past them. but I don't think it will be Mr 911 or Romney...it will be someone younger and fresh.

13. I think they want to lose.
I think they would love to be able to blame the mess that Bush has made on a democrat. Then, in four years, they'll come back strong.

18. McCain May Get Pulled From the Ticket
But I don't think he's trying to lose. I think he's desperate because good polling shows him getting hammered nationally. The people who know, know. So he has to try something. Look for his VP pick quickly so that it will make him harder to push him off at the GOP convention.

Obama is fine. He does need a negative attack machine backing him though (one with no association to him). That's his big weakness right now. No Dem media manipulation strategy in place to counter the GOP. At least not in place yet.

19. you think Bush was a better candidate?
Or Fred Thompson? Or Reagan or Poppy?

The deal is, republicans don't think the government is a good thing so they think it should be run by lazy, ignorant, doofuses. (Think Reagan). Therefore, lazy ignorant doofuses get more GOP votes.

Once they get in office, they need a thief. (Think Nixon, Cheney, Oliver North) The thief runs things.

(Cheney didn't need vetting, he'd already been vetted. Remember, he was head of pentagon or chief of staff or something big.)
