Looks Like Obama's ME & European Trip Has Shaken Things Up With *Co.......
I just heard that * is meeting with the Joint Chiefs to discuss Afghanistan troop buildup, etc. We heard last week the State Dept initiated talks with Iran. Maliki agrees with Obama about the Iraqi troop withdrawal and now we hear *Co talking a 'time horizon' for pulling troops out.

Obama seems to be the catalyst for all of this - late in this 2 term administration - action.

Are they doing it to take the thunder out of Obama's plans or has Obama embarrassed them into taking action?

1. They don't want a Democrat to succeed with their failures.
They would look pretty freaking bad if Obama did all this stuff. Also, they are trying to take some issues away from Obama.

2. They are incapable of being embarrassed because they have no conscience. They're just trying
to steal Obama's thunder - but all they're getting is rain.

3. Desperate for leadership.
I believe Washington is desperate for leadership and they are desperate for solutions.

Obama is just sweeping in and solving all the problems for them -- ahead of time.
They are just doing what he will be doing.

6. Or......
They do a half-assed job, fail at it miserably, and then say "See, we tried what Sen. Obama wanted to do, and it didn't work!"

8. I think it's a little bit of both
Obama is defining the narrative, and the only thing FOR them to do is follow what he is doing. Politics is like chess and Obama is winning right now.
