I can't wait to see McFlubber in a toe-to-toe debate.
I am pretty convinced (and I say this with respect but more than a little glee) that he is going to have serious issues with chrononlogies and geography because his mind is a bit addled. Not saying he is senile... just that as you age good cognition becomes more elusive. He is going to look old and addled and agitated. I suspect if he continues to make mistakes as he is, there is going to be some concern with his handlers that he is going to be up for three debates.

He is going to remind people of Stockwell the guy who ran with Perot. It is going to be about as excrutiating to watch. People are just going to realize that the acuity to be president is going to be lacking.

1. Not so fast!
The PCH rambling by Reagan in 1984 didn't derail his re-election against Mondale although his fitness for office was clearly under question. He won in a massive landslide.

3. There is a difference
Reagan has charisma and presence and command of the issues. Yeas he was ancient and yes he was reviled in some quarters. But John McCain is no Ronald Reagan. He is not even particularly likable or compelling.

5. Agreed.
However, Reagan's charisma is greatly overstated and a media-driven mythos. Having seen him live, the juxtaposition of the myth and the man left me scratching my head.

:freak:
