It would be a Coup to get HAGEL to speak at the Democratic Convention...
...because we all know Lieberman is going to speak the GOP Convention.

Maybe that's why he's been hanging around with Chuck so much lately...

6. The way I see it
the fact that he continued to be part of the entourage in Jordan when the congressional delegation part of the trip was over counts as a de facto endorsement. I hope he will make it official, but I am not sure.

2. Chuck and Barry are big buds right now
Hagel's not running for reelection. (Neither was Zell Miller). It would not surprise me in the least. I wouldn't be surprised if there more than a few influential Republicans lined up for Denver.

Don't go ballistic. This would virtually sew up the independent voters.

3. He can give a pretty good speech himself, Hagel. I think he lost his
seat at the Repub cafeteria lunch table with this Iraq trip, so he has nothing to lose, really. Would be a nice counter to Joe's probable GOP speech.

4. I would think for centrist/independent voters Hagel would far outshadow Lieberman. nt

5. It's a possibility. Also Lincoln Chaffe could too... he's endorsed Obama already.
