1. I predict a 4 or 5% bounce, in reality.

Then again, maybe none at all. If he spends the entire convention bashing Kerry rather than promoting himself, undecided voters will see right through it. If he tries to maintain his one-note presidency (terror.. terror.. terror..) as he did with the State of the Union address, he will get the same results - no bounce.

It's pretty rare that a President gets no bounce with his SOTU address. Do you think Rove has learned yet that "TerrorTerrorTerror!" has lost its power? Judging from the timing of the fear alerts this summer, I somehow doubt it.

2. I Really Don't See HOW He Can Get Any true bounce from the convention

I mean, the american people KNOW who george w bush, and from the look of things, they don't like him.

I can't see what 'new' or fantastic news could come out of the RNC that would cause any bounce, John Kerry got one because the voters didn't really know him.

What will W remind the voters of or introduce them to that they might like or trust? :shrug:
