Just watched Obama playing basketball with some troops
in Afghanistan on CNN and while driving home listened to the the reception he got from the troops when he was introduced to them ( it was loud and there were no boos)on NPR. Yes,those troops who the republicans just love crying crocodile tears for,who the republicans think "they speak for",who the republicans think will be in peril should Obama win the nomination. Those troops seem mighty fond of Obama, the tide is changing,we're going to win.

5. Obama made a basket from pretty far away
(I know absolutely noting about basketball, but it looked far away to me) a female soldier bet him he couldn't do it again, and he did. He looked remarkably relaxed and was obviously having a good time,as were the soldiers.

20. Yup!! That was a perfect 3-point shot.
I was shocked. Mainly because his stance was so lax and his angle seemed off to me. It was excellent. But so is Obama.

He'd be staying there over night and then visiting the Eastern part of Afghanistan. Maybe I heard her wrong though.

16. Perhaps the republicans consider our black soldiers
to be only 3/5ths of a soldier. I saw the freepers trying to use that logic("look how many of them are black")apparently they only "love" the white troops.I have a feeling the Obama support crosses racial lines in the military.

There were also other minorities and white soldiers there. Obama is going to be with all these guys.

25. In a lot of minds, white = TRUE American
In their minds, if you are a minority you are a person of color first and an American second.

Those soldiers are "American enough" to bleed and die for the country, though....

Let's not go overboard
Pro ballplayers are amazingly well built, and amazingly strong.

Guys built like Obama (which most would call in very good shape) are considered too small to play in the NBA unless they have blinding speed and even then guys like Baron Davis will beat the crap out of them every night.

I really think they should get pictures of Barack out on the court as much as possible. It humanizes the guy and everyone loves basketball.
