I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!

I don't CARE if he was a POW. I don't CARE if he was a so-called "war hero". Call me an asshole, but frankly I DON'T GIVE A DAMN. Don't defend John McInsane to me because you will be talking to a BRICK WALL. I don't find anything redeeming about the man at all. There were many POWS and people who DIED in Vietnam and he fought to keep those families from finding out the truth about their loved ones. I don't give a DAMN about John McCain's POW status. Republicans don't care about the POOR, SICK, NEEDY, Iraqi children, Sudanese children, Rwandan children, or anybody who is not a Republican's children.

Hell, they don't even care about OUR TROOPS! I know this because THEY sent our troops into a FALSE mission in Iraq without proper supplies and protective gear. THEY sent our troops into a FALSE MISSION IN IRAQ for OIL, not for OUR security, but for EXXON!!

John McCain is not CREDIBLE on the issue of torture because he voted against the anti-torture bill that would have made it a crime for CIA to torture people. His reason? Because the CIA isn't military. That's a bunch of BULLSHIT. SO I guess that if the Intelligence wing of the Vietcong had done the torturing on him, it would have been alright?

John McCain, who supposedly cares so much about our troops, was against Webb's GI Bill because HE THOUGHT it encouraged the troops to not stay in the military for too long in order to get an education! WHAT A CREEP.

I don't CARE if John McCain was a POW. There have been THOUSANDS of BAD MEN who have fought and died in wars, and many were POWS too. Just because John McCain was a POW does not make him a HERO and it does not make him someone who I must admire in ANY WAY.

2. Well, OK. I haven't seen that happen, but take your word for it. Now have a glass of wine.
I don't care, either. Wes Clark was right: It's not a qualification to be president.

You put work into this post, and I appreciate it. I hope you blew off some steam, and won't be challenged similarly again.

5. Don't you understand?

He underwent torture?

So we should feel sorry for him and elect him President, so he can govern the nation that doesn't do torture, except when it does or when it redefines torture as something like a really intense game of scrabble.

You know those Scrabble players play for blood.

Anyway, what was the question?

Oh yeah. Ignore them. I don't care that he was a POW. Well, no, I do. His being a POW makes his stance on veterans issues that much more horrendous.

Fuck John McCain and the plane he crashed in on.

17. I don't know but it seems like whenever I vent my frustration about McCain
or his criminal wife, I get some smart ass trying to defend them on DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND. I remember when I created a thread about CINDY MCCREDITCARD and some people were trying to say I was being unreasonable for taking offense at that kind of thing. Every time I make a thread about how batshit crazy McCain is, someone always defends him to me. I don't even get into a back and forth with these people because I shouldn't have to on DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND.

that you got caught, captured.

Nothing more.

San Quentin is a much tougher gig.

Ol' "Reverse Ace" McCain was no hero.

Hell, he should've lost his Wings long before he was ever shot down.

24. The POW thing doesn't actually do him much credit, anyway.
He broke, and agreed to give military information in exchange for medical treatment and he let himself be used in Viet Cong propaganda broadcasts. Contrast with Admiral (then Captain) James Stockdale, who refused to let the Vietnamese use him for propaganda purposes, and when told he was to be paraded as a high-ranking prisoner, slit his scalp with a razor and beat his face to a bruised and bloody pulp, telling them they'd never use him. James Stockdale was a hero; John McCain is no James Stockdale.

25. My sentiments exactly
and I'm glad to see it expressed on DU. I've been wondering why his POW status qualified him for ANY office. SMDH. I won't even start in on how he left his disabled wife for the Cindy McCain while she waited for him while he was a POW. I wonder if the MSM will ever speak of it.

36. I hear ya man....
I watched an interview of Neil Young on Charlie Rose. Neil said he respected WcCain and Charlie stated that we ALL have to respect him.

Respect HAS to be EARNED and John WcCain has not earned respect from me.

Why does anyone think WE have to respect him?.?.?

What has he done that deserves respect?.?.?

Did anyone respect John Kerry when he was being challenged by the wingnuts?.?.?

Did Charlie Rose think John Kerry deserved respect from ALL of us?.?.?

Or what about Max Cleland?.?.?

Remember what the wingnuts did to him?.?.?

Did Charlie Rose think that Max deserved respect from ALL of us?.?.?

Did Charlie defend the Democrats who were challenged by the wingnuts?.?.?

Like I said RESPECT has to be earned, and the wingnuts who smeared the Democrats "war heros" will NEVER have my respect, period.

Thanks for posting this redstate_democrat, you stated everything I have been holding back on.:applause:
