One lesson from the VP speculation:
There is no one out there who is a clone of Obama. He is going to have some disagreements with positions or political strategies or both with whomever he picks. It will not be a betrayal of his supporters but a recognition that working together means meeting people half-way.

1. I think most of us are going to be initially disappointed in some way--
this is because Obama himself is a charismatic, exciting, novel guy. We don't need a VP to "shake things up" and generate excitement for us this time around, the way the R's do with McCain. In fact, I see the VP this time around as less an asset than a potential liability--Obama has been doing pretty well on his own thus far.
