Gaffes

Jackson's 'nuts' remark quickly pushed out of the headlines by Gramm's 'whiners.' Say no more.

2. Are they serious?
Nobody gave a flying flip about what Jesse Jackson said about "boo" or anyone else.

An ultra-rich white dude espousing that we're all "nuts" for thinking the economy sucks, however, is a big deal.

4. Well, CW is one of the best pages of Newsweek. It's a sardonic capsule look at the news,
and I think what they are saying here is just what we would say: "gaffes" push real info out of the "news" coverage.

Unfortunately that will whiz right by most readers though.

This one was better anyway:

(down arrow) McCain

Any time a 71-year-old candidate has to delve into Viagra politics is a bad week.

3. Everybody says Obama won the week, so why are his poll numbers going down?

5. Why, you ask? Because McCain's "base" is the media. He said so himself in his 2000 campaign.
McCain's camp has openly said, "only the 'good' reporters will be able to sit with McCain in the VIP section of the "Lap Dog Express."
