A second term Governor in a red state...
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 12:04 AM by Labors of Hercules
after having served as Attorney General of Arkansas before that... (Oh, and he lead McGovern's campaign in Texas in 1972). That is all the experience Bill Clinton had that "qualified him to be President" in 1992.

So why is this important? FACT: Hillary Clinton has even less experience in elected office than Bill did when he ran for President in 1992.

But never mind all that, because Hillary's still better qualified to be Obama's VP than some no-name Governor in Kansas who's resume looks almost EXACTLY like Bill's did back in '92, (only with the added experience of having served for 14 years in two other elected offices: 8 years in the State Senate and 6 as Insurance Commissioner).

And WHY is Hillary more qualified than a person who is noticeably more qualified than Bill was???

Simple: Because the voters in the Presidential primary said so...

After all, Hillary won 18 million votes and Kathleen Sebelius didn't win ANY! GO HILLARY!!! :sarcasm:

OBAMA/SEBELIUS 2008!

1. Fifth term, actually.
Bill Clinton had been elected as Governor in 1978, he lost in 1980, was re-elected in 1982, 1984, 1986, and 1990. So, he was five and one. :)

2. yeah, in 1980 he was the youngest ex-governor in history...
but to compare time in office would be unfair since the term limits for Governor are different in Kansas.
