John McCain even gets football wrong
NFL trivia isn't exactly John McCain's game

The Republican presidential candidate gets his football trivia tangled in a story told in Pittsburgh, but the facts would have worked better in Wisconsin with Green Bay Packers fans.

It comes down to NFL trivia

Presidential candidate John McCain apparently isn't one for trivial pursuit.

On Friday, Morning Briefing reported that McCain told a Pittsburgh television station that he had named members of the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive line in 1967 when he was a POW in Vietnam and captors asked for the names of his squadron mates.

However, in McCain's autobiography, he wrote that it was members of the Green Bay Packers that he named.

A campaign spokesperson called it a memory lapse.

Trivia time

McCain would have to have been quite a Steelers fan to name their 1967 defensive line. They were 4-9-1, and it isn't that easy to name even the coach of that team. Can you?

1. I'm not trying to be mean, but I think there's a real possibility this man has dementia......
.... Not that it stopped Reagan from being president.

2. Yep. My mom has dementia which is further progressed, but he seems like
she was a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised. But apparently nobody else is worried. :eyes:

5. Why would they worry? Bush is an idiot and no one cared. This is from the party who put Dan Quayle
on as a VP and likely hoped to run him after George the 1st finished his second term. Its not like he will actually be allowed to make real decisions.

Yes, I am paranoid and have no proof but there does seem to be a pattern.
