"Dr. Phil" Gramm WAS speaking for John McCain! They believe we are a Nation of Whiners!
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 01:32 AM by NattPang
Dr. Phil was speaking as
McCain's Economic Adviser
on the issue of the economy
to a newspaper editorial board.

The Video of Dr. Phil Gramm
calling the nation a bunch of whiners
whining about the economy
should be shown on the television 24/7
for the next two weeks.
Nothing else should be discussed.

They have shown McCain denouncing Dr. Phil
as much as they have shown Dr. Phil's comments.
They are reading and showing caption
of what Dr. Phil said,
but they are not showing Dr. Phil saying it repeately.
The news crawler even refers to what McCain said
more than what Dr. Phil said.
No loop to loop for Dr. Phil Gramm.
No linking his comments to what McCain said
about drilling and the Gas Tax.

What about Dr. Phil's role in the
sub prime lending mess?
When are the commentators going to discuss this
issue over and over again?
Why aren't they "Digging deeper"
as CNN commentators like to say?

Dr. Phil is McSame's best buddy for 25 years.
How could McCain not have known that Dr. Phil
felt this way about our nation?
How many other times has Dr. Phil Gramm made
these kind of statements, and was McCain there?
They were talking down and about hard working citizens,
Hard working people of all colors.

The media is not giving the Gramm comments
the coverage they deserve.

Now Jesse Jackson's comments?
Now that's what has been looped
for us to watch over and over again.

The media is discriminating in its
treatment of McSame and Barack Obama.

This is what this forum should be abuzz about.
We should be livid about this blatant unequal treatment.

So why aren't we?

Don't mind me.
I'm just an American, aka, a whiner.

6. Sad day.
That those who claim having being betrayed
by Obama are betraying the rest of us,
by helping elect John McCain.

3. You know how it is here NP. Man, I figured at this point McCain lost even the repubs
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 02:30 AM by vaberella
since not all of them are rich and are suffering economic hardship. The media is a corporate outlet that is basically working to get Obama out. You know Wolfblitzer probably makes more than $250,000 a pay check. He's avoiding the tax and so are all these corporations who were chillin' under McCain since he would actually tax us "little people" to oblivion. I would kill if TYT actually went on the air waves and wasn't only on youtube. People would probably take notice and just go nuts.

This crap from McCain reminds me of Marie Antoinnette and Leona Helmsley crap. At this point they need to go. New Yorkers wanted Helmsley out of the bloody city in a high security prison because of her actions and statements about who should get taxed and who shouldn't. These people don't care about us and that says a lot. For him to claim we're nation of whiners says to me that his economics won't work for me either.

K&R

8. De Nada. This thread discusses what's going on now with us.
If McCain is getting his advice, especially economic advice from a man who thinks like this. When even the Fed Chief, Ben Bernanke , has said we're in a recession then the man is a mad man. This doesn't bode well for the American people and says a great deal about our past Presidency and calls to question his economic plan. We can now, if it hasn't been done before, account and relate his economists to the economic disaster we are in.

My question now is can we take Bush's economists to court for unwittingly putting the American people in economic jeopardy? However let us not stop there, can we actually do something about the comments made by this guy? This is the fight we have ahead of us.

Shoot.

The economists here are just as bad as the politicians...why? Because they depend on the whim of the bloody politicians who have no idea of the long run effects of our nation, just the short run. They have screwed over the national economy and thrust us into disaster. Currently every bloody year since 1910 we have been in some type of war.

No one has even freakin realized it. Every year we have military abroad in a battle adding stress to our already tight economic means. Actually in order to revitalize the economy they use war tactics to basically build a military industry. We're not debt because of spending on infrastructure, we're in debt because of several wars that have been continous. WWI, WWII, Vietnam War-Cambodian War, the untalked about Korean War, Cold War, Desert Storm, current war.

All of this directly tied to our economy and who are they screwing to get it, the American people. ~sigh~ The rich get pay checks.

Do you know in New York City if you're able to pay for a home 500,000+ you get a tax break for 10 years? Are you hearing this? We can't get low-income housing at all and so many broken buildings are turned into high rise luxury condos---leading to gentrification of the "little people" and the rich get off scot free and what do we get as a response---- "it's psychological and you're all whiners"!!

Ugh!!

10. Dr. Phil Gramm also blamed the media for how they were reporting on the economy..
Gram wants them to talk up the economy.
Just like the Bush Admin wanted the media
to talk up the progress in Iraq, remember?

15. He's trying to manipulate behavior.
For example, if you want to get support from red Americans, you create a common enemy and then define the rules of engagement. Flag pins, waving flags, bibles, patriotism -- good. Purple, liberals, feminists -- bad.

Whiner is a hot button for right-wingers, well sometimes. Because they whine a lot. It's how they maneuver to get concessions. I call it the, "You can't kick me when I'm down" syndrome, and while you back off from holding them accountable for their actions, they just continue their corrupt practices.

However, I'm going off tangent. Gramm is just trying to tone down the criticism, not from liberals, but from Republicans. I suspect it's going to backfire.
