GOP club accused of racism for Obama web banner
By Cynthia Burton

Inquirer Staff Writer
A banner slogan on the Pemberton Republican Club's Web site that said, "Obama loves America like O.J. loved Nicole," disappeared yesterday after local Democrats alleged racist campaign tactics.

The Web master, Ed Kuck, a recently elected Republican County committeeman, said he had seen the slogan on an Internet site and copied it onto the club's Web page about a month ago as "a joke."

He removed it yesterday from the site, http://homewebs.net/pem, after a community person told him it would offend people, he said.

"I found out it was inappropriate, and I took it down," Kuck said, adding: "I just want to apologize to anybody who was offended, because that wasn't our intention at all."

1. "...as a joke." The RW NEVER gets challenged on racist/sexist jokes, so see nothing wrong
with them.

I'm surrounded by bigots and I let them know how I feel when they say such things. This is what we are up against.

"...as a joke."

4. More irony from the party that seeks to psychologically abuse anyone not in lock step with them.
And, yes, it's racist as hell, too.

5. "I found out it was inappropriate, and I took it down,"
Needless to say this guy is both racist and a dumb fuck. Either he was too stupid too know it was racist or he was stupid enough to think we would buy his explanation.

6. More comments on this in the topic I posted last night, plus a link to the Google cache
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6473414

and you'll need the link to the Google cache there since the actual site has been shut down.

If you right-click on the last graphic there, at the bottom of the GOP club's page, or the space where it should be (none of the graphics are appearing), you'll see that was a JPG with the file name Obama_OJ.jpg. Google had cached the page on the 28th, when it was still there, but apparently the entire site has been taken down.

There's an email address there for comments and complaints, but I doubt that address is any good, with the site shut down
