On CNN yesterday, they banged the drum that Clinton supporters will not support Obama
One person they used as their poster child was Lynn Forester de Rothschild:

This story is old, but CNN and the Wall Street Jounal find it necessary to keep it alive.

What they don't ask OR REPORT is that Rothschild is a TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENTREPENEUR, and when she says that “I love my country more than I love my party,”, what she really means is that SHE LOVES DEREGULATION OF THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ARENA EVEN MORE THAN I LOVE MY COUNTRY

"Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a top Clinton fund-raiser, telecommunications entrepreneur and member of the Democratic national convention’s platform committee, said she had questions about Mr. Obama’s trustworthiness. If he does not answer them, Ms. de Rothschild said she would at least consider voting for Mr. McCain or even working for him.

“I love my country more than I love my party,” said Ms. de Rothschild, who said she had been receiving entreaties from both Mr. Obama’s and Mr. McCain’s backers. “I can’t just fall in line.”

If your leaving the party because your candidate didn't win then i say happy trails to you.
Try throwing temper-tantrums elsewhere.

13. Why did that asshole LADY Lynn Forester de Rothschild go on CNN and say Obama is elitist then?
People like HER are the problem.

The arrogance of that woman! Here's elitist for you:

"Some background: Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild was introduced to her husband British banking financier Sir Evelyn Robert Adrian de Rothschild by Henry Kissinger at the Bilderberg conference in ‘98. Portfolio labeled her “the flashiest hostess in London.” She’s “mistress” of the Ascott House, the 3,200-acre Rothschild family estate in Buckinghamshire. She’s on the board of Estée Lauder. She’s friends with Tony and Cherie Blair and other big-moneyed Brits, including the utterly corrupt Conrad Black and his wife, Barbara Amiel. She also owns what has been described as “the most beautiful apartment in New York”

9. Ulterior Motive? DE ROTHSCHILD, LYNN F Supported Obama in 2005
I doubt that Lynn Forester de Rothschild has anything against Obama's actual positions. After all, she contributed to Obama's campaign in the past when he ran for Senator. However, she is a big Hillary supporter, and I think there are a certain segment of Hillary supporters who will actively work to defeat Obama under the premise that HRC can run against John McCain in 2012. Likewise, there are some John Edwards supporters who are also attacking Obama in order to position him for a third presidential run on the grounds that HRC is a closet republican. So, Obama is getting hit by the right (HRC) and left (Edwards) wings of the Democratic party, who may fear that Obama might actually win. Of course, HRC and Edwards have declared their support for Obama, but some folks are still fighting the primaries such a de Rothschild.

10. Debbie Wasserman Schultz
feeding the fire and division with her constant whining about how Obama needs to woo Clinton supporters. Because....Clinton supporters just can't fall in line, they need love.

Gag - Is this what feminists of the 21st century are all about? They can't decide which of the two candidates would be best for them, all by themselves?

An entire month has passed and Wasserman-Schultz is still out there speaking for all Clinton supporters and dividing democrats.

12. I'm a Hillary supporter who is voting for Obama
However, if he picked Hillary as his running mate, Obama would shore up the support of this demographic.

In 1980, Ronald Reagan picked GHW Bush as his running mate, who at that time was a liberal, prochoice republican. He also got the second most votes in the primaries, and it wasn't even close to the number of votes that Hillary got. RR won in a landslide.

it had everything to do with Bushco guaranteeing the hostages would not be released until Reagan took office, crippling Carter.

20. I agree. A unity ticket is the best way to unite the party.
Hillary realized that, well before the end of the primary race, and it was clear she'd have wanted Obama on the ticket as VP if she were the nominee. He needs her on the ticket now. There is no other possible VP choice he could make who could do very much to bring the party together.

22. Who wants a floor fight?
The media or the Hillary delegates?

If it is Hillary supporters there won't be that many because most of them realize how important it is to win the election.

If it is the media... put the word out to the delegates that the media wants a floor fight and when the media instigators show up on the floor... beat the hell out of them.

And maybe 3 if I am included. Although my preference is Gore.

One of the Hillary supporters was a local organizers for her.

I am sure this is similar in every county in every state. Sure there will be some that will cross over and vote for McCain but they probably voted for Bush in the last 2 elections. Sure there will be some that will not contribute or actively campaign but at least they will most likely vote for Obama.

21. Silverstein is completely misreading this. It is NOT about a spurned
Hillary supporter.

It is about the republican infiltration of the Democratic party through the DLC. The corporate wing of the party, as exemplified by the DLC and it's nominee, hates Obama because he spurned THEM.

She donated to Obama for his senate campaign, when the DLC was trying to woo him - listing him as one of their choice newcomers. He demanded to be removed from their listing.

So now, suddenly, she doesn't trust him. She would vote republican, rather than vote for him. It is not about a disgruntled Hillary supporter - it is about a stealth republican being exposed for what she is.

let her go republican - the sooner the DLC is marginalized, the better.

I do not consider the DLC to be much more than a mole organization.

I also think that the moves being done on Capital Hill are partially designed to put a wedge between Obama and his progressive supporters. Funny how the Blue Dogs and DLC initiate all of this.

"This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him. I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him." - Lynn Forester de Rothchild

And who us she?? Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Lady Rothschild. Third wife of British financier Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, who met her husband to be at a Bilderberg conference, (the person who introduced them was Henry Kissinger), and who made her fortune in the telecommunications industry.

So we have the irony of an Entitled (i.e has a title) Rothchild (who have dominated European banking for over 200 years), and a Bilderberg complaining that Sen. Obama is an "elitist"

25. I started to post about something yesterday and backed off...erased
the post, and said to myself, perhaps I better give this some more thought...why?? because it seems people don't want to hear anything negative, and I don't want to get tombstoned for expressing my thoughts...there is a yahoo group I have belonged to since 2003..lately, I've been kinda staying away, because they don't want to back Obama.....I feel, divisiveness such as I am witnessing in that group, could cost us this election....that is, if you believe as I do, that this election is OURS to lose...anyway..I went to the group yesterday and checked in, to see what was happening, or if anything had changed..there was a link posted...I checked it out...counted and found there are 155 anti O blogs out there.....someone in the group I belong to, professed that it included "tens of millions" of H supporting democrats that will not vote for Obama in Nov. IS THIS POSSIBLE? Would Democrats be perfectly willing to sacrifice this election? Is this going to be a problem? Are we ignoring something we possibly shouldn't???

Then I come into DU last night and read a post that states Obama supporters are not willing to donate to help retire Clinton's debt...which will supposedly cause problems for her major fund raisers, raising money for Obama for the GE...could this escalate? or am I dreaming? I want someone to assure me that this whole anti thing, isn't about sinking his candidacy....for whatever reason...is it DLC vs DNC??? is it simply sour grapes? Will it go away??? Should we pay attention, or ignore it?? wondering still if I should post this....decided I will...here goes...wb
