A bit of good news from Tennessee....

I stopped by the Democratic committee headquarters for Kerry here in Nashville yesterday to get a couple of Kerry/Edwards yard signs. While I was there, I spoke with a couple of volunteers who told me they are getting voters registered by the thousands who have NEVER voted before. They also spoke of the uplifting and supportive phone calls they receive every day. One lady said a retired veteran who has a son coming home from Afghanistan in two weeks has volunteered to carry yard signs and other Kerry gear every weekend to east Tennessee to help spread the support. Everyone seemed very energetic and spirits are VERY HIGH in this area for Kerry.

Kerry will be here on September 1st to address a group of veterans at Opryland Hotel.

1. Yes- In TN There have been huge gains made in registering

new voters which have been exceptionally successful in the minority communities. Bush is speaking to that same convention 2 days before. Phil Bredesen proved in the Governor's race that a Democrat Yankee Librul from Massachusetts can win in TN!!!

I am so happy we have him as a governor. He has done WONDERS for this state. I'm also very happy that he is my big boss!

It would be so great to carry that state especially after Gore lost it. I don't see Bush winning if he were to lose this state.

It's also nice to see veterans sticking by Kerry after these horrible ads.
