"Experts Worry That Good News From Obama Election is More Than Americans Can Handle"
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 03:54 AM by truthisfreedom
Experts across the globe have reach a common voice in announcing an impending catastrophe within American culture... that the unavoidable election of Barack Obama will leave Americans without the tools to deal with a new phenomenon they are at odds to understand: Good news. Americans have been schooled for 8 years with endless defeatist memes driven home by the right-wing-controlled media, defining terror as a never-ending fight, oil wars as perpetual, explosive inflation and massive job losses as perfectly normal, and debilitating, excessive taxes on the lower and middle-classes as a given until the end of measurable time. This has left Americans without the tools to comprehend, much less accept, good news. The defeatist memes coined and endlessly repeated by the US media have so ingrained US culture that many in the field of psychology are ramping up their studies to prepare for a cataclysmic breakdown of the American psyche, the likes of which hasn't been seen in the country's history. "Good-news-itis", as it's being referred to by the top psychiatrists involved in the new study, is expected to spread into epidemic proportions over the next 6 months as Obama is swept into power and inaugurated in January of 2009. No one is sure exactly what will happen, but some in the field insist that 'good news' itself may serve to qualm fears and reduce tensions worldwide. Republicans insist that nothing good will come of good news, or any improvement, for that matter, and express doubts that good news would ever be in the best interest of the country. Many Repubican experts insist that bad news has been doing extremely well for business and despite any cumulative effects, a dose of constant bad news is in the best interest of their base.

1. Barack Obama will make an excellent President.
I can see it now, because
it's going to happen.

4. Tell ya what, this American will run out into the streets in a stark raving panic.
I've been planning to do this on the day our government finally admits that U.F.O.s are not only real but are piloted by lil green men from outer space...still will actually, but this might be a good day to get in a little practice panic. When it comes to panicking, one can never get too much practice ya know.

6. There Won't Be Any Good News--But There Will Be Hope
that the bad policies will be stopped, reparations and repairs made, and the US will begin to ease out of crisis and into an environment for regular life.

7. So does good-news-itis involve group sex, drugs, and rock concerts?
