Obama's speech will do what McCain can't

Here's my analysis of the campaign announcement Monday that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will accept the Democratic nomination in Denver’s Invesco Field, a 75,000-seat outdoor stadium — rather than the smaller indoor Pepsi Center where the rest of the Democratic convention will be held in August:

—Obama will create a visual statement of being a leader of a movement that the McCain campaign cannot come close to replicating. I envision on the front pages of newspapers, covers of magazines, first screens on Web sites, a photo taken from a blimp of a full stadium with a circle over a tiny figure on a stage with the headline, “The Next President?”

The Obama campaign is putting Colorado in play. President Bush beat Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) by only five points in 2004. By offering free admission to a historic event open to non-delegates, the Obama campaign will be able to require that people register for their tickets. That way, the campaign will capture names, addresses and other information from people to be used to contact them later. Oprah Winfrey drawing giant crowds stumping for Obama in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina earlier this year was to some seen as a great way for Obama to get publicity and reach out to female voters — but Winfrey’s gigs were used as a data mining bonanza for the campaign

She is the one who engineered the takeover of Compaq to bolster HP's pc business, just as IBM was unloading its pc business to Lesotho

She led people and a corporation right into a hornets nest and thats where the board threw her off. She obviously landed in a culvert. Met her before and from my vantage point, she is not the real deal.

8. I love how she suggest Obama is a fraud somehow...

claiming that people recognize authenticity when they see it. We have grown so cynical, so distrusting, that we simply cannot deal with someone who really wants a chance to make positive changes.

He speaks directly about hope and your power to participate in governing and somehow that is a swindle job.

I'm really sick of the snide remarks and also the MSM trying to divide us by pointing out how he is "flip-flopping".

9. I haven't watched m$$m since

Nov 6, 2002 when I saw how they directly influenced the Dem's Midterm loss due to their biased reporting.

They're all trying to beef up their bottom line and repelling viewers who are capable of critical thinking and who refused to be brainwashed.
