I have this nagging little worry
I posted the following as a response in a thread about who ol' McInsane might pick as a running mate:

"I keep wondering what Jeb Bush is up to these days

I know McSame wants to distance himself from Dubya, but would Jeb as VP be seen differently by the morans? Stupid people and rich people love the Bush family. Would a John McCain/Jeb Bush ticket be seen as a chance to "get it right this time", to redeem the Bushies from the mistakes of the Idiot Son? You know that poppy has been kicking himself for years for installing Georgie instead of Jebbie. I'll bet he and his cronies are working feverishly to keep the power in Bush family hands. What better way to do it than to install Jeb as VP, with the likelihood of McCain dying in office--from "natural" causes, of course. We could have another nightmare Bush presidency within a couple of years.

I know this is an unlikely scenario, but these days, nothing surprises me." :scared:

Does anyone else think this is at all a possibility? Or should I adjust my meds?

1. If he was courting Chuck Norris for VP I'd be worried
not about the election...just worried by Chuck NOrris. As it is, there's no way a BUsh is on McCain's ticket. They are kryptonite.

2. I'm not a doctor so I can't help with the meds, but the middle will never vote for another Bush;

I credit them with that much.

McSame was the best the RNC could do out of a wide and rather diverse field, believe it or not. Sometimes the obvious is obvious for a reason.

3. Anyone named Bush is a liability now.
A hopeless liability.

The brand name was crap on Day 1, but now even the trogs on the other side know it.

5. He's grooming his eyebrow ...

Got a hot date, I hear.

They have a lot in common, and he wants to make an impression.

6. I believe it is unlikely for several reasons
The first being that the GOP look at the McCain campaign as going nowhere. It is actually in their best interest to have a Democrat win this election, because then we have to clean up the Bush mess. And when we don't do so expeditiously, they will blame all of Bush's excesses upon us. Jeb's strategy is, I believe, to wait out this disaster and then come on strong in 2012, when he can attempt to spin matters so that people will vote for him for the "good old days" of his brother. Not that I think they will, but I do think this is their overall plan.

The second thing is that McCain is looking to distance himself from Bush while at the same time declaring he's for Bush policies. This mad flip flop would become undone if another Bush was on the ticket. No, he'll go for someone like Romney or Huckabee or an unknown.

7. In the end, the Chimp even screwed his own brother.
He destroyed everything he touched.
