McCain's dellusional campaign is running commercials in California
Either they are national budget buys or they think they can fake Obama into spending money in California.

In either case it is the absolute stupidest use of campaign dollars I have ever seen.

Keep up the good works folks!

1. Their entire campaign strategy is to try and win where Hillary won.

In other words: McCain believes the MSM's narrative about a (huge) rift in the democratic party. Oh, and he's really that stupid.

5. California has done some pretty stupid things, and I am from California
I would like to remind you that they have had their share of republican govenors, including arnold, who is endorsing mccain

However, I would tend to agree with you that we will win California by a huge margin, but we should not assume anything

Remember it was California who had a recall election for Grey Davis

8. Grey Davis was a terrible politician and made massive errors
CA swings back and forth from time to time but it is swinging left big time now.

Look at the polls on the same sex prohibition ammendment.

There are atleast 6 CDs in CA that could turn red to blue.

Rasmussen (a republican pollster puts him behind 28 points). No matter what you have to think that there are better places to spend your money for McCain than CA.

10. I don't disagree, but there is no way that a recall should have been done
He won the election fair and square, and the repukes didn't like it, so they got enough signatures for a recall, and the idiots in California voted for it

6. They interviewed one of his campaign staffers
on BBC News America last week. Honestly, they are all drinking the kool-aid. The staffer was positively spaced out. Even the interviewer who asked her a question about what McCain wanted to achieve in the big picture was stunned with her answer that sounded something like, "we want peace and democracy for everyone" (paraphrasing). He said she sounded like a beauty pageant contestant. She smiled a vacant smile stating but that was the big picture. I tried to find a transcript on the BBC website but couldn't so I can only report what I remember so you can take this with a grain of salt. However, my impression was of really brainwashed robots working in his campaign with no connection to reality.

7. I think they are so disorganized they are ...

...running on auto-pilot or something. The other day I saw a TV ad on cable's "Military Channel" for McCain (believe me, I was only flipping through), but that was quite a shock. If he feels he has to spend money shoring up the pro-military vote, whose vote does he think he can get without spending any money??

9. Hell, at this rate, Arnold might even vote for Obama.
reports that he got into a car with an Obama bumper sticker on it. Perhaps it was Maria's car, but even so, it is telling.

12. McSame did an ad buy here in Arizona during the primary--no, I'm NOT joking.
I saw the damn "running for Commander-in-Chief" ad about 5 times leading up to primary Tuesday. Prime time, no less, and twice during "Countdown" for pity's sake.

An ad buy. For the favorite son candidate. In the state he's represented for 30 years.

Frickin' geniuses, the McSame camp is. :eyes:

I'ma skeeered, I am...

19. Sounds like he really is McSame
That's why the Karl isn't the genius he is cracked up to be, if he hadn't burnt a large part of Bush's warchest in Ca. in 2000 maybe Bush wouldn't have lost and have to resort to theft.

20. If McCain people think they are going to make Obama spend money in solid blue states
Just because they are putting out ads there...they are delusional. If McCain wins California or Massachusetts barring some unfortunate event or election stealing...i'll cut off my pinky toe. Not happenin.

He's limited in cash now, and will remain limited throughout the election.

24. This just goes to show....
the real republican machine isn't behind his campaign. They only thing republicans are good at is winning elections. It's what they are all about from their rhetoric to their gimmicky feel good SOUNDING policies.

They know he isn't going to win (and I think some in the party don't want him to win and "taint" the brand) so they are leaving him to lose with his own weak staff. They aren't giving him the playbook. The rove types in the party don't want to board the McTitanic.
