"The McCain of 2000 would not vote for the McCain of 2008."
That was a quote from Peter Fenn on MSNBC Live, and then he rattled off the list of flip-flops. That quote sounds like a great idea for a video to me!

I googled it and got 5 hits from different sources. I like this meme! I know a lot of people who liked him in 2000, and some still think he's the same guy, but he isn't, not by a long shot.

1. yup. I've heard that used by several people, including
the Communications person for the DNC and Howard Dean. It's true. McCain is a McSellout.

10. I think that is a serious issue...
As much as some people want to call it age discrimination or ageism, I think it is a valid concern. He's not that far from the average lifespan for a man right now, plus, he's had multiple melanomas, and has had some problems with memory. For an accountant, that may not be such a big deal, but these things are issues when you are talking about the highest office in the country.

12. the 'average' lifespan for a man
includes male infants who die as well as males who die young via murder and suicide. The average life expectancy of a male his age is over a decade. There are plenty of valid reasons to dislike McCain, this isn't one.

13. point taken, thanks.
Everything I have read said about 74.5, but I hadn't thought about those factors being included in the calculation.

15. It is a common error which is used to help spread lies about social security
the same problem exists with comparing life expectancy when SS was created with today.

16. We have to destroy his "maverick" image the press loves to talk about.
Comparing the "maverick" McCain of 2000 to the fascist neocon McCain of 2008 is a good idea.
