Disgusting bumper sticker spotted on the drive home tonight.
Location: Los Angeles, in the Fairfax district. Older, angry-looking woman in a Toyota Landcruiser (hey, maybe it was just the LA traffic making her angry, but she DID look angry).

The bumper sticker, on the lower left corner of the rear window, said:

Plan A: Clinton
Plan B: McCain
Obama: NEVER!

So this shout-out goes out to that woman: Fuck you. Fuck you every which way to November. You're so self-spiting and so stupid and so deluded that you don't see that not ONLY are you voting against your own best interests, you're betraying the very candidate you vowed to support.

:grr: :grr: :grr:

That's far more offensive to me than a straight-out McCain sticker, for reasons I hope are obvious.

12. PUMAs, they got punked in the comments on HuffPo ...
and the sad part is they are too dim to realize it.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-tomasic/hell-no-puma-spokesman-wi_b_108581.html

Their leader gives them daily talking points, told them to comment on HuffPo yet they showed their low information astroturfing asses.

Will Bower is spokesperson for P.U.M.A., which stands for "party unity my ass," an organization he founded and launched on Facebook and that is made up largely of Hillary Clinton supporters. P.U.M.A. is now part of the larger Just Say No Deal coalition of groups that coalesced after Clinton officially suspended her campaign and that are united in their opposition to the candidacy of Barack Obama.

Bower is a contributor to OffTheBus and was an administrator for the main Hillary Clinton Facebook group, "Hillary Clinton for President; One Million Strong." In February, Bower, who says he is "obsessive-compulsive" about how the "mathematics of election systems reflect democracy," wrote a brief opinion piece at Newsvine on the "seriously flawed system, which is just not proportional," arguing that the superdelegates should right the process by declaring for Clinton.

13. It just honestly shocks me that they're serious about voting for McCain.
Just about the time I start to think that we'll all come together, I see something like what I saw this evening. I just want to take her by the shoulders and ask her what on EARTH she's thinking.

25. I find myself irresistibility drawn to reading their comments, they are HRC fan girls & boys...
Edited on Sat Jun-28-08 08:58 AM by rosebud57
They are also very motivated by Obama hatred. Fox is their best friend.

They are low information voters, they send emails, faxes, flowers to HRC, flip flops to Obama (how original) & are trying to raise $100,000 to run TV ads.

14. (shrug) Americans have a long and glorious history of voting against their own interests....
Well, certain subgroups of them do, at least.

...then I don't know if anything can.

22. I remember what I was told when I first started knocking on doors...
in March in PA for Obama. Do not argue with or worry about people who are against Obama. Politely say thank you for their time and walk away. Don't waste your time or energy on fucktards.

Everytime I canvassed I found a democrat (we only canvassed democrats) that were supporting McCain over both Hillary and Obama. They may have the democratic registration but these people were republicans who were just too lazy to change their registration. So out of 100 doors and 30 people being home I'd usually find 17 Obama supporters 12 Hillary supporters and 1 idiot who was voting for McCain.

Anyone who supports McCain is GOP I don't care if they voted in the democratic primary or not.

23. First off
As a native Angeleno now taking most of my time elsewhere, when I visit LA everybody looks angry to me, all the time. And she's driving a Landcruiser in the city, which to me speaks volumes. I assume she was alone in the vehicle. Of course. The SUVs of LA are mostly single driver use.

Clearly she is not what most of us call a Democrat. She's just not. She's not even listening to her candidate's advice, and wonderful example. The objective of such a sticker is to anger others and cause division, and nothing more. As you say she is NOT supporting Hillary and probably never did.

These folks piss me off, but I take each one and find a replacement among the non voters or new voters. Actually I find more than one for each. It is easy pickings, many Americans, most in fact, did not vote in the Primary. So I convert my steam to action. Let her vote for McCain, I brought a Republican, a full tilt one, his Obama button yesterday. He asked for one. It was sweet. So he cancells her out. We can all do that, every day. I am also focused on the Green type voters of whom I know many, and the too jaded to vote, too hip for the room crowd. This year, everybody skates!

This is certainly an interseting election cycle.

24. I can cheer you up - I actually saw the following bumper sticker on a car here in Houston,
of all places, which said: "Will someone please give Bush a blow job so we can impeach him?"! That made my day. :)
