Evening news coverage of swift boat controversy

I flipped around to see how ABC, NBC, and CBS covered Kerry's counter-attack on the smear boaters and the news is not good.

After watching the reports, my impression was that the angle was like "it's Kerry's word against his detractors'. No way to tell who is telling the truth."

I guess that's what they think is fair and balanced.

P.S. Nightline tonight will focus on the SBVT attacks.

3. Kerry's campaign allowed this to blow up in our faces

He should have gone on the offensive on day one.

Now we are playing all defense and they have the upper hand because they had a free ride in the media for two weeks before we even started to fight.

This is why Americans see Democrats as weak.

you let them *commit* to their choice first, then you attack. Kerry is a wise guy. He is thoughtful. When he moves in, he will move in for the kill. Kerry's campaign is going to shred the smearboat frauds into tiny pieces and hang the stinking remains around *'s neck.

Played several exerpts from the swiftboat liars, then just one sentence from the stinging rebuttal that Kerry gave today. Of course I complained immediately.

The swift boaters comments were played over and over, free ads.
