Obama should give Bill Clinton more credit.
I am no great fan of Clinton's. But Clinton was a Democrat President. And the fact is he did leave this country with a balanced budget and surpluses as far as the eye could see. All totally squandered or stolen by Bush/Cheney. I think Obama would do well to remind people of this quite often.

20. It's not his job to shill for Bill Clinton
the last thing he wants is the press interviewing him about comments, good or bad, that he makes about Bill.

2. He may still, there's plenty of time but Bill said some pretty shitty things about Obama
It went beyond "just politics" much of what he said went below the belt, I don't know that I would be too thrilled with him either if I were Obama. Still, I think we'll see them together at some point for the good of the party.

Or is he too busy in Colombia selling out this country's workforce for cheap labor.

And if he isn't your guy, then what the hell are you doing here telling me to watch my hate?

If anyone should be watching something, it is people here still trying to sell Clinton.

and you keep threatening me with a tombstone, but you can't ever provide any evidence where I"ve ever trashed Obama.

Pony up. Show where I've ever attacked Obama. bonus points if you can show me doing it after the primaries ended. Otherwise, I'll just have to assume you're another liar.

6. Clinton balanced the budget by destroying FDR's safety net
He also encouraged indiscriminate oil usage by raising the speed limit to levels that modern cars aren't manufactured to withstand in an impact.

He did nothing to reinstate the incentives to use forms of alternative energy, despite the fact that his own VP was encouraging people to explore different forms of energy.

He was a staunch advocate of NAFTA.

These are not things that Obama wants to be associated with.

11. Oil wasted from crashing cars
The amount of oil wasted by modern cars because they can't withstand in an impact is negotiable.

I would not advise Obama to pander to the 55mph club any time soon.

First, he has to answer for people he has only tangential relationships to, and now he has to kiss Bill's ass because he's not getting a third term in the White House.

I think Bill was a good president, but this is a bit much.

26. I think some would like to believe that the blame should
only go on Obama for what happened in the primary. Clearly there is a strained relationship between him and the Clintons. Despite what some would have you believe both sides said some pretty bad things about the other.

27. NAFTA, DOMA, DADT, shady pardons, intern sex, kitchen sink in 08 primaries, shady library donations
The list by no means stops there.

My memory of Bill Clinton's presidency is that of a Centrist lech, to tell you the truth.

I don't think he was that great of a President, and I feel that he was/is a hindrance to the Progressive movement.

He only seems like a good President because the last effective Progressive President was a million years ago (Lyndon Johnson). Bill (and his wife) shifted the party too far away from the left. They're too conservative.

Forgive me for not kissing Bill's rear end and pretending it smells of roses.

Obama's been nothing but nice to the guy, in any case.
