These people who slam Kerry's medals slam the medals of everyone of us who was in Nam at one time or another.

The people dont know that getting a medal is not a simple thing. There must be written recommendations by a superior officer and for some of the more important medals, there must be at least one, two or three eyewitnesses to the actions of the recipient.
You don't just write a report about yourself and say...."WasntI a brave little soldier? Give me a medal."

The idea that the military gives away medals like it's candy on Halloween is insane. If you don't like a Veteran, don't agree with his or her opinion, fine. But to question the medals they were awarded is a childish and insulting way to say you disagree with what that person stands for.

I don't know how Kerry's children stand it. If someone stated publicly that my dad didn't deserve his 3 Purple Hearts and 3 Bronze Stars while completing 3 tours of Vietnam I would go absolutely BALLISTIC. Then again, I've never understood how family members of politicians could deal with all the mud. Especially McCain's wife. How does she deal with it??

He's trying his damndest to unite the whole country against him. He is the trashiest pResident of all time:

He trashes vets who shed blood in combat.

He trashes our deomestic economy and bankrupts the Treasury.
He trashes our international reputation and our national security.
He trashes our Constitution.

At what point do we begin to seriously wonder if he is actively working to undermine this country?

10. O'Neil and Thurlow Insult all Veterans

Everyday these men cast doubt on the service of all veterans, espically those of Vietnam. They claim that Kerry's medals are worthless in that the Navy gave out medals to everyone because the war was unpopular. That statement, which is made on a daily basis by O'Neil and Thurlow is an insult to all veterans who have earned medals in wars. They make it seem as if those men did not earn their medals-just had them given to them to appease the public. What O'Neil and Thurlow do everyday to promote Bush is 10 times as bad as what the claim Kerry did.

If you raise questions about one man's medals you raise it about all of them, especially because they go after Kerry on all of his citations, and not just one instance. If Kerry was able to get all those medals falsely then you'd have to figure that none of them are worth much. We're still in the heat of the moment but when things cool down that point need to be seriously examined. I don't know how anyone could be so stupid as to open this can of worms.
