"Democrat John Kerry holds a 6 point lead over President Bush in Pennsylvania, according to a new statewide poll conducted by Franklin & Marshall College. If the presidential election were held today, the senator from Massachusetts would win 48 percent of the vote to Bush’s 42 percent, the Keystone Poll found.
Ralph Nader, who is running as an independent, would get 3 percent, and 8 percent remain undecided. The total equals more than 100 percent because pollsters rounded their numbers.
The new findings are a complete flip-flop of those in March’s poll, which had Bush up 46 percent to 40 percent.
“This state is definitely leaning Democratic. I think it still remains competitive, but the president’s got his work cut out for him here,” said G. Terry Madonna, director of F&M’s Center for Politics and Political Affairs and head of the Keystone Poll. ... "
