It's winnable. I don't see McCain generating a big turnout, but Obama can, with African Americans and progressives in the Raleigh-Durham area.

McCain has never had a lead of more than 3 points since March when he was up 9.

Would love to see Obama campaign hard in NC and help get rid of Liddy Dole, that useless twit.

1. Go Obama go! If we turn NC blue then the election is ours
because VA will not be far behind and PA will be a lock.

2. I live in NC and I agree - Dole has to go!
I think Kay Hagan has a good chance.

I know alot of repubs voting for Obama over McCain. I would love for NC to turn blue!

4. There are plenty of progressives in Asheville, too
and of course, pockets of progressives pretty much everywhere.

7. Progressive pocket here, too!
Watauga County, home of Appalachian State University, and one of only two counties in the mountains to vote for Obama over Hillary (the other was Buncombe, home of Asheville). I see lots of Obama signs and stickers around town. And ya know what? I have yet to see a McCain bumper sticker, period! I think we have a good shot at turning blue. Last time I checked the NC Board of Elections site, Democrats outnumber Republicans in NC by over 700,000!
