What's the meaning of the error-ridden release form from Bush's campaign?
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 12:09 AM by BurtWorm
As reported by Sidney Blumenthal in salon.com:

Before attending a rally to hear Vice President Dick Cheney, citizens in New Mexico were required to sign a political loyalty oath approved by the Republican National Committee. "I, (full name) ... do herby (sic) endorse George W. Bush for reelection of the United States." The form noted: "In signing the above endorsement you are consenting to use and release of your name by Bush-Cheney as an endorser of President Bush."

Set aside that you had to sign this to get into see the show: how can a campaign allow such illiteracy to pass, on its behalf, even before an adoring public? Do they have that much contempt for the people? (Of course.) Are they that stupid really? (Don't know.)

3. It's reminiscent of his bizarre statement at the Jefferson Memorial
on the first Fourth of July weekend of his term:

"Well, it's an unimaginable honor to be the president during the Fourth of July of this country. It means what these words say, for starters. The great inalienable rights of our country. We're blessed with such values in America. And I--it's--I'm a proud man to be the nation based upon such wonderful values." Visiting the Jefferson Memorial, Washington, D.C., July 2, 2001

9. It's no wonder,
the Bush supporters confuse love of Shrub, with the love of country.

10. Why do *'s surrogates
continue to get away with denying that such an affadavit or loyalty oath exixts? They just say there is no such thing, and they're not called on it.
