1. Heck NO
He gets his ass beat every week on the Sunday shows. Kyl spanked him on CNN last week. He has a hard time explaining himself. He's a nice man. But not cut out for tough politics.

3. I like Casey personally,
but I think he would be a really bad VP choice. He's too inexperienced, he's pro-life (nothing against Pro-life democrats, but I would just prefer the VP to be pro-choice), and I've been disappointed in his surrogate abilities on the trail. I mean, I love seeing him as a surrogate on tv, but sometimes he isn't able to debate the Republican surrogate well.

6. nay.
He is whole-ly uninspiring, and non-impressive. I don't see anything that he brings.

7. The problem with any sitting Senator is the party's weakness in winning Senate seats.
After the Clinton era destruction of the party coalition, the party is finally able to win seats in states like Virginia and Pennsylvania because of people like Casey and Webb.

If you take one of these Senators as VP, can we really expect another person to win in these states?

13. Chimpanzees share 97% of human DNA.
It's the difference that counts. He lacks leadership. While he will follow the party's votes, he's dead wrong on reproductive issues and is unlikely to exercise courageous or independent judgment on the administration when it comes to civil liberties or war.

14. I like Casey, but he could hurt Obama with women
Women who are already bitter over Hillary's loss in the primaries will not take kindly to an anti-choice VP pick.
