MoveOn's ad responding to 'Swift Boat Liars for Bush'
Watch the ad.

If you hate John O'Neill's ad, make a donation to run MoveOn's response ad.

4. Don't assume anything. Think strategy. Kerry's statement makes him look
reasonable, since Bush won't condemn the Swift Liars' ad.

Keep supporting MoveOn with this ad. The Repukes will keep supporting the Swift Liars' ad.

The two parties are involved in a political chess match at this point. Don't take anything you hear at face value.

5. He is taking the high road.
That is how the game is played. I'm pretty sure MoveOn understands that, too.

16. I was angry about this, too. But, check out Kerry's speech to the VFW
because I felt better after I saw it. I don't know if it was strategy with Kerry or not to condemn the ad. I'm still pissed about his denouncing it...but I felt much better after seeing his speech to the VETS on C-Span. Maybe the DU'ers who say it's strategy to trash the Move On. ad are correct. But, it came across to us Move On supporters and contributers that he was trashing Move On. and not just the ad.

His speech is good and cleared up some problems I have, especially since he seemed to be speaking from his heart to these guys, but made points I needed to hear.

Here's the link to C-Span Replay from their "Road to the White House."
Unfortunately the speech is last on the clip so you will have to fast forward.

6. what the hell is wrong with Kerry? Ya know what i think?
He's just the other side of a 2 sided coin..I'm now convinced Kerry is just Bush light, with both their strings being pulled by special interest and Trans-national corporations...I'm over it...

Why would he not fight these insane acusations? Why is he against bringing our troops home from overseas bases, and why is for this war? Plus about a zillion other questions....

7. Kerry can't "side" with MoveOn openly right now
If you ever listen to the Bush Lie Echo Chamber (Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, etc.), they always say the uselessly hard to explain talking point that "MoveOn sponsors messages calling Bush the same as Hitler" from the weak ad that was submited in a contest.

For Kerry to say that he agrees with the ad only invites the Bush Lie Echo Chamber to have more meat to play with.

By the way, calling Kerry "Bush-Lite" is an indication to me that you are lazy and don't want to really know what's going on in this election. Get a clue.

10. He does not have to say that he agrees with the ad, but he should not
condemn it.

After all, the White House "does not agree" with the ads attacking Kerry, but says nothing.

8. sven, try to learn something about political strategy.
As I said, don't take anything you hear at face value. Both parties are trying to win over the ignorant middle America swing-voters.
