Kerry's Front Porch Photo-Ops (Oregon)
http://www.registerguard.com/news/2004/08/18/a1.frontporch.0818.html

"On Friday morning here in this quintessential suburban neighborhood, such was the plight of Shannon Imponen, who was eager to share her struggle to pay for emergency post-partum health care with Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee. Imponen, 24, had instantly agreed when Kerry's aides knocked late on Wednesday afternoon asking to borrow her backyard for an event just 40 hours in the future; she even said they could chop down a couple of trees to improve the view.

But after asking how the sun falls and canvassing Imponen's neighbors on A Street, a campaign worker called Thursday morning to say no thanks. ``She said there were too many registered Republicans,'' sighed the would-have-been hostess."

end excerpt: This is an article from the NY Times reprinted in the local fishwrap. Now we need a similar analysis of Bushco's staged photo-ops complete with haloes.
