6. TN and AR are a lot closer-- 2 pts.
I'd love to see VA or NC go Dem, since they're both my "home states" and as an ex-Louisianian I hoped Kerry had a chance there. But all evidence points to AR and TN as far more winnable. Also WV already in our column-- if you consider it Southern.

14. Since then BushCo eased restrictions on mining companies
Raping the scenery and blowing the tops off montains has become the order of the day. And unemployment as a bonus.

11. There hasn't been a real poll taken in LA yet
Just some two-but outfit from Pensacola that does polling for a group of "business" leaders

2. What about all of the midwestern states that went for Bush?
Can those be won? It's not just the South that voted for Bush in 2000...look at the electoral map. You will see that many in the sunbelt and rustbelt did, too.

16. Those aren't exactly midwestern states, but
your point is well taken.

Colorado is a possibility, definitely.

10. Sure. WV, VA, FL, NC, TN, AR, and LA are all possible.
Most likely it would be FL, WV, TN, and AR, but VA and NC are the next most likely after that.

12. If he sponsors a baby seal skeet shoot while wearing a KKK robe
with a short side trip to cut down a 500 year old tree just to see it
fall. Otherwise no chance.

15. Yes. Florida and North Carolina.
Both states get huge influxes of transplants from other, more liberal parts of the country. The red necks have a diminishing share of the total population. I used to live in Charlotte (NC) - and just about everyone I knew there was from somewhere else. They used to say that half of Charlotte's population had been in the city for less than five years (and I'm sure that has grown). How else did we take out Lauch Faircloth? GO EDWARDS!!
