I am confident that she will.

She has fences to mend: with the anti-war movement, black voters and young voters. She does not want to be blamed for an Obama loss because she was somehow less than vigorous in her support for the ticket this year. That would surely be remembered in 2012.

She will be 68 in 2016, 4 years younger than John McCain, and not all that old these days.

If she does as she says, and campaigns hard for this ticket, she will be in an excellent position to be the Democratic front-runner in 2016, and I will be happy to support her.

1. Can we put a sock in the threats against Hillary? She'll do what she needs to do.

2. I truly hope she will run in 2016 and if for some odd chance we don't win this thing
after I am done crying... I'll hope she runs in 2012. She would still make a great president.

7. She can't run in 2012
President Obama will need to serve out his second term, before another Dem can take his place.

May there be more Dem presidents in our future!!

11. I said that IF by some chance we didn't win
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 09:59 PM by musicblind
and, while a loss this time around would move to tears, IF we didn't I'd hope she ran in 2012. I am not 100% confident of a win this time around. I was so confident about John Kerry, and then I saw that dash away from me and that was the first presidential campaign I was able to be active in because I am young and new to all of this.

I just don't know. I think McCain is a dangerous opponent, who could leave marks. I hope, and will donate, and will do everything I can. I think Obama is a great person and I admire him... I just feel like people on DU are living in an echo chamber about how easy this one will be. We need to fight out hearts out as though we are on our last leg. Don't leave a single thing to chance. Because they will attack Obama WAY below the belt, and sadly Americans seem to respond well to people going below the belt. :( especially on fear tactics. I remember saying in 2004 how John Kerry would be immune to that because he was a war hero..... and look how that ended up :(

I really do hope, however, that this is not the case and I will do my part to make sure we have a win.

5. Does anyone really believe she will be interested in the Presidency
at age 69?????

Heard interesting comment at one of FOX programs.
The party decided they would rather lose with Obama
than win with Clinton. This is really motivating.

I think that she could do it if she wanted to, women outlive men. The Clintons have had lots of comebacks. And I have no doubt that she'll campaign hard for Obama, even if she doesn't have that in mind.

12. One election at a time
We've lost (or didn't get) the last two, let's make sure we get it this time. No close shaves, eyes wide open for GOP dirty tricks.
