Hillary's oratory skills have grown by leaps and bounds...
Comparing Hillary from her pre-Iowa speeches what we witnessed today, we see a complete transformation to someone who commands a terrific oratory repertoire. As an Obama supporter, I couldn't possibly be more thrilled with the content of her message. But also, even given all the ridiculous Mark Penn strategery that helped derailed her bid, if the Hillary candidate of today were campaigning in Iowa back in January, I don't think Obama would have won.

Regardless whether you like or hate her, all of us must agree that she is sooo much better a candidate now. Her speeches used to border on painful. Not John McCain painful mind you, but compared to Obama, they really were atrocious. That's not the case any more. Hillary now has the oratory chops to truly move a crowd in a way she couldn't five months ago. In short, she really has come a long way.

1. They ALL get better during the course of a campaign. They develop CHOPS. Obama is a thousand times

better now than he was when he started out and stuttered and ummmed to distraction. Now, he's got the chops and he's using them well.

But even someone used to speaking alot publicly like Biden gets distracted, but he did so much better and now his chops for TV are absolute killer.

Look at Edwards - he grew tremendously as a speaker from his campaign experiences.

Speaking out day after day ain't for the weak....and Clinton certainly gained a stronger voice even if we didn't like so much what was said. You have to admit she EXECUTED the vocals VERY WELL.

5. If we took Hillary as the candidate she is now, and put her in Iowa, do you really think...
that the difference between the two would still be as great as it is? Remember, we're talking about 150 delegates or so. If Hillary does lots better in Iowa, for instance, the presidential contest was over.

Again, I'm thrilled at the outcome, and agree that Obama has gotten better as well. But he was already pretty fucking awesome in January. Hillary on the other hand has really improved.

11. Short answer: IWR, Lobbyist money, bad planning, etc… that’s why she lost. No amount or oratory
skills would have changed that.

7. Amazing how adding "I endorse Obama" equals growing oratory skills.
Her speech last Tuesday was just as fine.

10. To clarify, I think her speeches this past month have all been fairly stellar...whether or not I...
agree with the content. My point wasn't that she sounds better endorsing Obama, but that she has improved considerably since January.

12. I have to agree, she is a powerful public speaker!.........
NOW!

Not before.

Let's make sure she can use those skills from now on.

I like her positions on issues, and I might have voted for her if she were speaking as eloguently as she did today!
