Thank the FSM it's finally over and an open letter to all.
I am not expecting everyone to join hands and sing a Coca-Cola jingle. It's been a long and drawn out campaign and a lot of lines were drawn in the sand and many of those lines were crossed.

There are gonna be some hard feelings and it will take some people longer than others to sort through those feeling.

I've already made the mistake of making a joke that was taken the wrong way by a few who still keenly feel disappointed by the way things things turned out.

I've quoted it before, and I'll quote it again: We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield, and patriot grave, to every living heart and hearthstone, all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.

Just remember that before you post. I love each and every one of you and I hope that people will take a deep breath and think about what they write and likewise take a deep breath and think about what they read.

It's very easy to see and infer the very worst in even the most innocuous writing, particularly after such a long and protracted battle between two very strong personalities that evoke strong loyalty in their supporters.

I have a lot of faith in the better nature of democrats and know that in the end, we will eventually find that common ground and it will happen sooner rather than later for the vast majority of us.

I won't ask anyone to tiptoe around their feelings. There is grieving and celebrations to be done and we should respect that each of us as individuals will do so in our own way and in our own time.

I will ask that everyone take that deep breath and try to empathize with others because empathy and compassion as well as passion are virtues we as democrats have to overflowing at times.

So it's time to put our empathy, compassion, and compassion to good use and fix this broken country and kick some major ass this November against the REAL opposition party that has done so much damage.

2. Yeah. I rather think the poor republicants are gnashing their teeth in frustration...
...that we didn't have a floor fight at the convention.
