I'm not joking about the high heels, though. I just don't know why any sane person would wear that stuff. I finally got my 88-year-old mother into good-fitting athletic shoes. It took her a while to get used to having her heel on the ground (and being able to flex her toes) but now she loves 'em. She wouldn't go back to heels under any conditions. Now ... nurses. You guys know about healthy clothing. Scrubs and supportive flats. Perfect. (Sexy, too.)

I'm 64 and wouldn't give up my Birkenstocks (athletic shoes for the occasion) for anything. Screw the "fashionistas." I like using my toes.
