Poll question: Will Hillary still try to convince the country she won the popular vote?
Sorry to be so cynical but I can see her throwing out one more jab to Obama, to put that seed of doubt about legitimacy out there. I hope I'm wrong.

7. I heard a caller on CNN say this a few minutes ago
It was some elderly woman and she was all po'd. She said that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and should be the nominee and that she would not vote for Obama because he did not win. :argh:

:kick:

21. COME ON -- as an ardent Obama supporter TOTALLY agin HRC as #2 on ticket -- can't we lay off a BIT?
I mean she's just barely finished conceding, which people were groaning for impatiently, like it mattered how many hours after the polls closed or something.

The question is the focus not so much on even the snarkies at DU (the snarks ye shall always have with ye?) but that last 20% of Democrats who for whatever reason might be reluctant to vote for Obama, and then those who are typically nonvoters, etc.

23. I simply couldn't believe my ears, listening to CNN's talking heads this evening. Truly,
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 02:37 PM by KCabotDullesMarxIII
it was surreal. The tone was one of a particularly loopy cult's worship of its leader. I believe she actually had a motorcade! Only the ticker-tape was missing.

Instead of talking from the angle of Obama receiving Hillary's notice of withdrawal, it was like a campaign to tout how indispenable it was for Obama and indeed, the Democratic Party, to persuade Hillary to play a major, major role in his administration! The vice-presidency, ideally, but if not some very prestigious cabinet post, it was, well, not so much implied, as boasted! You'd have thought Hillary had won the presumptive presidential candidacy. It was ALL about HER! Recognition of her egregiously distinguished status was of paramount importance to any success Obama and the Democrats might have in the future. UN.BE.LIEV.ABLE.

24. She is supporting Obama
This is a non-issue. As far as I know she has promised to work to help Obama get elected.
