Congratulations Team Hillary and Clinton supporters
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 11:06 AM by Wolsh
Now that Hillary will officially ended her opposition to Obama, I can officially end my opposition to her.

To the Hillary supporters that I undoubtedly offended during the Primary:

Thank you. Thank you for being passionate, thank you you for being tuned end, thank you for believing in something bigger then yourselves and thank you for sticking to your guns and engaging me even when the cause bordered on hopeless. It was fun, and it was what our politics are based on.

I hope that you bring that same passion to the General Election, if not for Obama, then for cleaning the GOP out of the Whitehouse. Its important.

Here's to being on the same team.

2. I'll vote for him in November
but I'll devote my other efforts to defeating the anti gay marriage amendment here in CA.

The pure hatred you guys have thrived on for months now has taken its toll, and I'm just not very inspired to do anything for him beyond check a box next to his name.

Good job!

8. For being republcians from the word go, or just selfishness
Like I have always said, anyone who bases their votes on the personal opinions somebody types online, should not be allowed to vote in the first place. If they think that McCain represents their issues better then another Democrat, then good riddance, the party doesn't need that type of support.

20. This is politics sweetheart, if you don't know how it works, then you shouldn't waste your time
discussing it.

My actions were my opinions. Sorry if they did not match your. However I am sincere in my pledge that the war has been won and its on to bigger battles. This was never a personal vendetta against Hillary, it was a movement against her campaign.

Listen to her speech and stop taking this so personal.

13. I'm a 5th generation Dem
I look at it as the party of my grandparents, g-grandparents and gg-grandparents who elected great leaders like FDR and Truman. They promoted the core values of the Dem Party and worked to help former slaves get jobs and education, end poverty in rural Missouri and supported organized labor when the younger generation moved to the cities to work in factories. They believed everyone was equal and deserved the same rights and access to a good life regardless of age, income, religion or ethnicity.

They supported my generation in battles for civil rights, women's rights and ending the war in Vietnam. I've inherited the party from them and work to uphold to their standards. Sometimes that's a difficult job.

25. Thanks!
All the great Dem leaders have said the same. Read "Truman" sometime about Harry T's strong beliefs about the sanctity of the Dem party and the need to stay loyal to it and its core values. As a man who came from a poor background, he knew it was the only mechanism for the powerless to have influence on the government and improve the lives of all.

48. Message board posts reflecting the boorish behavior of a candidates supporters on the
outside can and do influnce votes. Together the behavior of supporters and campaigns paint a picture that can either lead to voters supporting a candidate or driving voters away. it is a combined effort.Otherwise campaigns wouldn't hire bloggers.
