Chelsea Clinton makes impressive appearance and says her mother will give complete support to Obama!

I had a great front row seat at the Texas Democratic Convention last night. Chelsea appeared on behalf of Hillary and gave a very strong unity speech in which she urged democrats to rally for Obama. She said her mother would give full support to the nominee today. This is the first time I've seen Chelsea in person and I have to admit she inherited the political genes. She was impressive. I felt a lot more confident that Hillary will strongly urge unity and tell her supporters to get on board for Obama.

I guess we'll see for sure what happens shortly.

9. And I've Decided It Isn't Sexist

After all, one of my friends says that Barack Obama is "easy on the eyes" and I agree that he's a nice looking man. When I supported John Edwards, all of us female supporters would rave about his ideas and his looks.

I think it's a sign of liberation that women can notice men's looks and feel confident enough to comment on them.

But perhaps when it comes to appearance, that old adage your mother used to say is best, "if you can't say something nice..." And even nice comments should be limited, more of an observation than an obsession. This may be more true for remarks about women than men because men historically have not had to fight to be respected for their intelligence.
