Man..oh man! Unreal!
Today From Hillaryis44:

Saturday, June 7th, 2008 (Commentary)
The Party’s Over

Our standing orders, as always: ORGANIZE.

In days to come we will announce organizational decisions (and infrastructure) being made, by groups such as Clinton Supporters Count Too. The fight for core Democratic principles continues even though The Party’s Over.

We will also continue our series discussing why Democrats should not vote for Obama - Voting For Barack Obama.

NOvember will come soon enough and we will vote for Hillary; No one else but Hillary. We will encourage others to do the same.

We won’t be alone in that decision- vote for Hillary - Not Big Media, Not Big Media Tool Obama. We will also NOT vote for any candidate who endorsed Obama over Hillary during the primary season. We will encourage as many Democrats as possible to follow our lead.

<snip>

And a few words of advice to Hillary: If you lie down with dogs you wake up with fleas.

As we wrote in Voting For Barack Obama, Part III

So, let’s discuss the Supreme Court and the several appointments the next president will make.

Can Obama or McCain be trusted with the several Supreme Court appointments the next president will make? NO, absolutely not.

We will discuss more throughly why Obama cannot be trusted to make Supreme Court appointments when we discuss the abortion issue. But we do know one thing right now - when Obama does something - anything - which people oppose, Obama shouts “Racism”.

A few Comments:

Blue Democrat Says:

I’ll just reiterate what I posted the end of the last thread, sans the article, that it was Charlie Rangel who sold Hillary out.

She should’ve told him to go fuck his mother.

And that, as Forrest Gump said, is all I have to say about that.

alcina Says:

funny how the bots throw abortion rights at us as a threat. we fought for the right to choose. we won the right to choose (under the nixon administration) and that right has survived the likes of ford, reagan, bushies one AND two. if a supreme court tilt turns it back the other way, then so be it. perhaps the young women who are so entranced with their new-baby-jesus-saviour need a lesson in what it means to really fight for basic rights. they’ve had it easy. they’ve had it handed to them.

for me that’s an old battle and i really don’t give a shit. mc cain can throw it back to the 1950’s as far as i’m concerned.

Dixiecrats, maybe.

OR
Crypto racists desperately seeking any excuse not to vote for someone with brown skin.

I know we are a big tent party, but these folks deserve a tent of their own woven from finest cordite.

Now it's up to a younger crowd to clean up our mess. We thought we owned the world in the 60's and then we dropped the ball. We need to take ownership of this sad fact.

15. agreed.
i think there are very few actual democrats who would refuse obama.

the ones who would are the ones who aren't supporting hillary clinton for any reason other than sentimental, nostalgia, or something else spawned of fawning adoration.

the rest are republicans. disaffected but delusional, and operatives who would never vote for her in the GE.
i may be too optimistic, but i really believe obama is going to win huge in november. there is no way mccain will even be able to steal the election. if he does manage it, i will be ready to expatriate for the next 4 years, b/c i can't take another day of this draconian nightmare.

Just because we don't know any rabid supporters doesn't mean they aren't out there.
We all probably like to surround ourselves with more enlightened people than the types that would vote against their interests out of anger.

Fer christsakes--go the hillaryclinton.com, then go to blogs, then read the madness, links to talkleft, noquarter, taylor marsh, new republic, and blatant racism.

eople cannot post there who have not been cleared through registration--do you think they are all republicans?

Hillary is either allowing her official site to be used to send readers to anti-Obama sites, or at least she's not preventing it.

Here is a snippet of a post from last night:

Tonight one of my friends called me. Yesterday she volunteered at her Church as she does every Thursday, helping to prepare meals for the needy, or homeless.
She could not believe her ears, at what some of the AA were saying about Obama being the nominee. It got so bad that some of the women had their cell phones ready to call for help.
No, this isn't going to be pretty folks, I don't see any good coming out of this at all.
Now, my friend, does't know if she can volunteer next week because she is afraid.....it's just the beginning...........What did they say about us being "typical, bitter, uneducated, white people." I have heard it all...........Pray and light candles for Hillary, when I checked at gratefulness.org, there were only 309 for HRC. We need more, and lots of prayers for Hillary.......Good Night everyone, till tomorrow

The thing is they think all 18 million Hilary supporters are hell bent on revenge for losing just like them. I think are in for a big surprise. All the Hillary supporters I know will be working to get a Dem in office.

They also think they can elect McSame and keep him in check by voting dem for everything else.

40. That's an invalid and unfair comparison
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 10:18 AM by OzarkDem
Women Dem activists are tired of being told that reproductive rights are the only issue important to women. At a time when most of the people living in poverty in the US are women, it understandably grates on a lot of nerves.

Women Dem activists resent being told they have no choice in the upcoming election and that the only support they have a right to expect from a candidate is on reproductive rights. We expect our Dem candidates to address the full range of women's issues.

Women's issues shouldn't be marginalized to reproductive rights. Most younger women understand what fierce battles had to be fought to get some level of acceptance for women in employment, politics, government, housing, education and finances. But there are a few who take those hard fought rights for granted. Those are the ones Women Dem activists have a problem with, and rightfully so.

58. Funny you should say that.
I found myself back in the mid and late eighties involved with arguments about whither Feminism-- was Equality about cultural gender issues, or simple economic power.

I was strongly in the latter camp, believing equal pay for equal work and fair value for work (like child rearing) would result in truer equality for women. Again and again my feminist friends assured me that as a penis person I could not possibly understand why mandating the term 'herstory' and the inclusion of 'y' in place of a schwa, was more important than equal pay and fair pay.

In the loss by Hillary Clinton, I see purse and wallet issues are less gender norming than many originally predicted. When asked who should lead them in this time of crisis, they chose the candidate with the least connection to the past.

Women's issues in this election relate closely to men's issues. Economic crisis, health care, Peak Oil, and Iraq. The same corrupt business hurts women and men alike.

But for much of the primary, HRC was running to be McSame. More for Iraq than against, more for big defense (the fourth largest consumer of oil in the world) and big empire than for international cooperation.

Frankly I think Hillary would have done better if she had stepped up early and concentrated on Women's and family issues head on. But Edwards understood bread and butter economic concerns and his support was strong despite the sort of treatment the media NEVER gave HRC.

Those young women who forget the strides, and more importantly, the sacrifices of the past made by women who faced far greater resistance then than now, are no different then the young men who forget why the war doesn't require a draft to be their concern.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/24/163437/416/562/522170

Excerpt:
Now for hillaryis44:
The 100,000 posts were written by 310 users. That is NOT a typo. Three hundred and ten users wrote all 100,000 posts. The most prolific user posted 7170 times. The top 20 users have posted 45% off all posts and 24 users have posted half of all posts. 171 users are "regulars", where regulars are defined as having posted 20+ times, the regulars have posted more than 99% of all posts.

I'm still concerned by the members and comments of members at the forum of HRC official site, though a similar study might reveal very few members writing 90% of the posts.

Maybe I'm a bit too passionate. How many times have we all been let down by events that seemed out of our control just when we had a candidate to whom we really connected?

For me, it began with Bobby Kennedy.
Later, the Dean scream, then the "irregularities" with voting machines during the last couple rounds.

This time I'm wanting to be a little more participatory with my democracy!

50. slow motion train wreck
soon it will break down into squabbling about how best to not support Obama and which approach is "truest to the cause". There will be various tests of true bitterness as the circle shrinks and narrows. Eventually it will devolve into 4 or 5 "true believers" nattering on into the internet void and at some point, it will cease, and no one will notice.

I'm not smacking on the OP or anyone else, but does a link to this kind of crap do any of us any real good?

I find it impossible to believe that the views expressed there bear any resemblance to those held by the Clinton supporters, and I have a lot of problems even visualizing real women actually thinking like that.
