Poll question: Anyone else notice how the media is desperate to...
tell us that Obama isn't electable. They are really pumping up McCain. Full force. They are now saying how electable Hillary was and unelectable Obama is, fake maps and everything.

I saw CNN they were showing a list of "toss up" states that was completely ridiculous. They had Washington, Oregon, and Minnesota on it(among the usual suspects) even though ALL, got that ALL polling has shown Obama comfortably winning those three states... yet, they didn't include Virginia, Nevada, North Dakota, North Carolina, or Indiana, states that have had Obama polling ahead at times. :wtf:

I'm personally torn as to what the motivations of the msm are. So which is it:

1. They like a horse race...
They pretend that there is a horse just as strong as Big Brown in the Preakness. :-) Otherwise, there are no bets. If there are no bets, there is no money. If there is no money, there is no corporate media.

2. Simple. Their corporate owners LIKE the status quo, so want McCain.
They would love the rethugs to remain so they can continue lining their pockets with no accountability.

this time may be different.

4. Its all about money
The news networks probably had a boon in viewership because of the race between our senators.. and they just want to keep that going.. that neck to neck tension, going down to the wire tension.. seems like we have gotten addicted to all the adrenaline that it puts out..

6. Oddly, Fox seems to have the most Obama-favorable electoral map...

Obama has been shown to be 10 points ahead in blue/leaning blue states compared to red/leaning red states.

I think the number was something like 243-233, with the rest too purple to call.

7. Well we all know
Who owns the media, and contrary to all the stories by republicans that the media is biased towards the left, the owners are big right wing corporations! They will do what they can to back McCain, but it won't work!

10. We expected that.
No different from their treatment of Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. The Corporate (so called "mainstream") Media will pimp for McCain, no matter how good of a candidate the Democrats nominate. Their JOB is to make that candidate look not-so-good come November.

13. None of the above. They're simply doing anything they can to pump up their ratings.
The media moguls don't care whether Obama or McCain wins, so long as they're making money hand over fist.

got. By the way, the one to watch is the AP which has a much greater reach than cable news or even the networks. So far they had a very, very negative anti-Obama piece quite recently. Bad news.
