Poor Hillary! Her blog has been taken over by Rethug trolls, vowing to vote
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 04:25 AM by pnwmom
for McCain if they can't have Hillary. Even though she's endorsing Obama!

I can't believe this is representative of her real supporters -- most of the Democrats I know personally
had a difficult time choosing between Clinton and Obama. Some, like me, never chose at all.

But we should all come to her RESCUE, don't you think?

Here's where you should be posting today, perhaps instead of DU.

Come on, all DU diplomats -- you know what to say . . . Just don't be pushy. Be sweet and supportive -- of Hillary's new plan to endorse Obama.

4. Why not? I don't think it reflects the views of her supporters either.
Why let trolls go unanswered? Dems should speak up, too.

24. but it is a portion of her supporters - who may become "Rethug trolls" but are Dems now
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 09:14 AM by papau
A lot depends on his choosing Hillary as VP - or not choosing her.

Indeed there are signs of a permanent realignment of a majority from Dem to the GOP or Independent among senior women if he doesn't have her as VP.

5. Wrong. I said a thousand times that I wasn't taking sides during the primary.
And I didn't. But it's over now.

And I'm not telling people to argue with the people on that blog. I said to be "diplomatic." To me, that means adding a comment to the effect that Hillary ran a great race, but I plan to vote for Obama in the fall because he'd be light years better than McCain.

Hasn't it occurred to you that there are many Hillary supporters on DU who don't think McCain should be promoted on Hillary's site?

7. Just about all of the Hillary supporters on DU were chased
and bullied away long ago because Obama fans couldn't allow anyone to support anyone else.

There's no telling how much donation revenue they accounted for here.

But skinner is a good man puting on such a brave face depite the terrible fundraiser this past quarter.

8. I know what you mean, cboy4. I stood up for Hillary against the sexism
and misogyny countless times.

But I think many of her supporters do remain here, though they may be lurking.

9. Maybe, but they certainly have no interest in mingling with the
people who helped drive them off.

And what's funny now (in a not funny way) is hearing all of these people write things like, "Hillary sure is a fighter," and "I sure admire Hillary for..." and "I extend an olive branch to Hillary supporters..." when before, nothing but pure venom poured from their computers.

It's all very difficult to read and accept as sincere.

11. It is going to take some significant time and effort for healing to occur.
The campaign ripped some holes in the party, that's for sure.

But I can't believe that, when push comes to shove, large numbers of HRC supporters will vote for McCain or throw their vote away. Because, on the issues, McCain doesn't even come close. Obama is someone Democrats can work with, no matter who they first supported.

Obama supporters who are champions at acting like victims.

13. Put the shoe on the other foot cboy and perhaps you'll understand
how many of the Obama supporters feel.

It's especially ironic coming from you considering you are one of the worst offenders.

15. I didn't donate because he allowed all you clueless
Clinton supporters to spout on about popular votes and her (almost nonesistent) chance to win.

I think they should have a "clinton's gone" fundraiser. I bet it would fill up in 18 hours.

18. Her "official" blog pushes her unofficial message- I pretend to support him to keep my Senate seat
Here's an entry I copied from the above link. The message it sends to her supporters is that HRC is lying yet again, by pretending to support Obama, because that's how she keeps her Senate seat. It's another hate-filled attack on Obama - and if Clinton was NOT lying all along about her intentions to "fight for" the eventual nominee, she would erase crap like this from her official website.

"Saturday's Speech for Hillary
I will be listening to her speak with a heavy heart!
But we must all remember that what she will say is what she needs to say to be able to keep her place in the Senate! She must now say and do what BHO's party wants her to do! We must stay strong and not give him our vote! Remember always how she was treated by his party and his supporters!!!!!!!!!!

We must either vote McCain or not vote at all. We must show them our party has power also!!

This man and his party do not have my values and by beliefs and they will never get my vote or that of my family and friends."

10. I tried to register a few days ago there but
it wouldn't accept my posts. I made like 5 posts with a link to that leaked McCain memo about infiltrating pro-Clinton sites to try to drum up support for McCain and telling them that the republicans want you to get mad at Obama and vote for McCain - you are playing into their hands and they are probably laughing to themselves about it.

But the posts never took. I haven't been back since. Anybody know how to work it?

14. Right now I think McCain is fucked
If 50% of these people calm down in 2 weeks to a month Obama's numbers will continue to move upward. Right Now He's beating McCain in most polls by a few points even with the people who are mad right now. What's it going to be like when these people start to come to their senses?

20. OMG! These posts sound like teen girls for Sanjaya Malakar
I'm afraid BO will really be our president, which is more terrible than McCain presidency.
Plus, BO in the White House means less/no chance for Hillary 2012 because the party (again!) will be too happy to reelect the Golden Boy.
IF YOU WANT HILLARY 2012 STOP OBAMA!!!
PS I'm not a McCain troll. I'm totally for Hillary and totally for NO OBAMA.

and

Hillary will always be OUR Wonder Woman!!

and

The reason I am not voting for Obama is not because I'm mad. I feel McCain is a more qualified candidate than Obama. McCain loves America and will at least keep the country safe.

hmm, McCain loves America. Thanks, Bill for that talking point.

23. No, NOT poor Hillary.
HRC staffers approved every post that goes on that blog. If it's there, it was approved by someone on staff to be there which says to me the campaign is comfortable with that message.

It's disgusting, her campaign is completely fine with all of these obnoxious assholes stating they will not vote for Obama, they will vote for McCain, and they are completely comfortable with their own posters calling supporters of Obama "Obamabots" or worse. Not a single post was approved showing support for Obama. Not a single post that is even the least bit critical of her and her campaign.

Sorry, the fish stinks from the head down. Not poor Hillary, just like she didnt try to temper her supporters when they started chanting DENVER DENVER DENVER on the night she should have congratulated Obama for his WIN not for his run.

The whole thing is disgusting, she has zero regard for the party.
