THE GOP IS SCREWN
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 04:09 AM by redstate_democrat

OH MY GOD! These so called "conservatives" have nominated quite possibly the WORST candidate they could ever nominate.

1. He is old as hell.
2. He has an old man angry problem which is sure to blow up on the campaign trail
3. He has scandals that haven't even begun to surface in the MSM
4. He is, in their view, not even a conservative but a LIBERAL ("amnesty", McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, and on and on and on)
5. He will be forced to throw Bush under the bus and demoralize the conservative base in the process
6. His "maverick" persona will be blown to bits by November b/c he has flipped and flopped like a Catfish fresh out of the Mississippi
River b/c he contradicted himself on so many issues: Illegal Immigration Stance, Torture, Bush Tax Cuts, Iraq War compared to early 90s late 80s non-interventionist position. "The John McCain of 2000 would not vote for the John McBush of 2008"
7. He has Joe Lieberman leading him around by the nose
8. We're in the middle of a recession, gas price crisis, mortgage meltdown, 2 wars, climate change, and this geezer is talking about putting a man on mars...lol
9. John McCain is not even liked by his party
10. Even though he is anti-choice, the low information fundies think he is pro-choice. They still think he is a "flaming liberal" despite changing his positions and voting with the Repugs on most issues (95%).
11. He is on tape saying "Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran"
12. He has catatonic muscle spasms at the most inopportune times
13. He sucks ass at public speaking
14. He has health issues
15. He kissed up to the evangelical fundie preachers and then denounced them despite seeking their endorsement. Indies won't like that.
16. He is a senator so he can't really claim more executive experience than Obama. The only thing he can claim more of is years in Washington and enemies in Washington ready to flip the script on him. That's "not change you can believe in". lol
17. His wife is batshit crazy and an recovering addict
18. He called his mistress turned wife a "cunt".
19. He left his disabled wife for his current beer heiress so that he could move up in the world
20. His wife basically bought his seat in Congress
21. What about Vicky Iseman? Where'd she go?
22. He has everybody on K Street running his campaign but then has the gall to say he is a reformer and that he is not beholden to lobbyist. Contrast this with Obama not taking a dime from federal lobbyists and PACS and now the DNC doesn't either. He's "not a leader you can believe in". lol
23. He talks about trying to pick up Hillary's downscale white woman vote and her Hispanic base, but this man has voted AGAINST the minimum wage and the equal pay act. Has he lost his faculties?
24. The man wants to expand the Bush tax cuts and give corporations MORE tax cuts, yet doesn't want to give a penny to poor folks who are now struggling to survive with gas prices and food prices.
25. He has NO PLAN worth even looking at for health care.
26. Even HE says he doesn't know anything about the economy.
27. He doesn't know what to do about gas prices except give people 30 cents a day on the gas tax and simultaneously cause the deaths of millions as bridges begin to fall down. He would also unemploy thousands of construction workers.
28. Who knows who he would put on the supreme court...another Alito, Scalia, and Thomas? And he thinks women will vote for him? lol Sad thing is that he doesn't know that while he panders to true blue Democrats, his own base becomes less relevant and demoralized. lol
29. He can't remember simple things.
30. He can't raise 1/1000th of what Democrats will amass in our coffers and he will be forced to rely on Rove's outdated, remedial guide to politics which was effectively used on low info Bush voters in 2000 and 2004. Rove will be busy this summer trying to keep his ass out of jail, too. lol
31. The Iraq War is NOT exactly what he should be running on, but yes, he is a fool so he has made it the centerpiece of his campaign. lol
32. He claims to have all of the FP experience but doesn't even know the troop levels in Iraq and has consistently been way off when describing his "knowledge" of said matters. I believe his is a fraud.
33. Where is bin laden anyway? lol
34. He is a whore. He has allowed himself to be used by the neocons thinking they would return the favor and back him up. They are laughing at him.
35. He is a patsy. The GOP elites just put him to fail. Payback is a bitch, I guess.

The GOP is screwn.

1. nice list. can I copy it?
I wanna send it to Republican friends. It would have been interesting the list you could compile if Huckabee, Giuliani, Tancredo, or the others had been the nominee instead. Repukes are goin down in Nov!

The GOP incumbets are facing more competitve house and senate races than the democrats.

At some point if McCain appears to be losing the GOP will pull their funding plug and try to help the down ticket races. If they don't the dems slaughter them in those races.

6. I have been saying this...but then let's shut up about it.
We might give the GOP some ideas that will end up hurting us in November...like coming out the convention with someone else at the top of the ticket who will be more appealing to the RW. Let them screw themselves. Even with McCain at the top we will have our work cut out for us.
