It might be the same program they show all the time, who knows, they all look the same.

Fox, as crummy as it is, at least has Clinton-Obama stuff on.

Bad MSNBC, bad, bad, bad

And you call yourselves a news station - like hell you are.

Friday to Monday garbage all day long.....

1. Hi, fadedrose. Do you ever watch PBS?
I'm listening to Bill Moyers tonight, talking about the election, the war and the media. He' great. :)

4. Thanks,
It has a music program on now, pledge week I think.

At this time of day, I never remember to watch it, sometimes after supper, but not during the campaign for some reason.

Have been off schedule since the Michigan infamous primary...

(But, Keith Olberman likes to brag about beating Fox every once in a while - why doesn't he recognize why FOX is No. 1 - I know why, they ALWAYS have news that I don't watch unless I'm desperate and don't show 2 days of prison life.)

11. Well, at least those prison shows are an upgrade from
all those serial killer shows!

I think Moyers has a web site where you can check out the schedule in your time zone. He's just terrific. His guests are interesting because they always know their stuff and no one else ever has them on. :)

19. If it is the Irish lads you should watch it
if you like that type of music. I have watched it, because....well, I like their voices and they are cute in a young man kind of way. (anyone under fifty are kids to me) I like the Irish lassies also when they had them on PBS also. I must have something for the Irish. Who would have thunk.

Stay here on DU and you'll get all the facts you need or watch Bill Moyer and BBC America.

10. Actually, I don't watch Fox hardly ever, never would be more accurate
But I know that some people at MSNBC read this website and was hoping to wake some of them up as to how pathetic their weekend programming is.

20. they're weekend schedule is horrid!
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 01:00 AM by rebel with a cause
Why are the news channels only opinion shows and thing like these prison shows? Did they take up the slack from court tv or something? Sometimes I will even watch CNN on weekends for a short time, if it is something I can stomach. NO FAUX!!

21. I've become a LINK TV addict. They have a website
with a posted schedule. Also, on the weekends, CSPAN 2 has "BookTV" where authors talk about new books and take questions for half an hour or so. They have a site, too, booktv.org. Makes the weekends much nicer. :)

That crap belongs on FOX, ironically enough.

ETA: You could watch CNN. That's what I have on right now. It's reruns, but at least it's not To Catch a Predator or aforementioned Lockup, or worse: dreadful FOX.

otherwise I wouldn't know anything about it....

This post is mainly a gripe to MSNBC...

I'm an avid reader thank goodness, but on the pc, I enjoy a background of TV news..

25. ALTERNATIVES -- Internet mostly
I only watch TV with my family, but I sympathize with you.

Face it, TV is pretty worthless.

I think everyone should listen to Ian Masters's show on KPFK. Google it...He has great guests on every week and you are bound to learn something.

I like Counterspin by FAIR also, and Behind the News by Doug Henwood.

26. Boy - Am I Glad Others Feel The Same Way I Do About MSNBC.........
they call themselves a news channel - but really don't have 24/7 news. There alternate programming sucks. I can't believe they get good ratings on any of the prison shows and then you have the predator shows that are equally as bad. Maybe when first aired it was informative - but now they are just getting annoying. I look to a news channel to broadcast the news. I turn to ABC at one point at night - because they have some good news coverage and not these stupid specials.

27. My suggestion? TURN OFF THE NEWS!!!
I mean really, it's Friday night, fer cryin' out loud!

Sometimes I get so tired of the shit that I just have to put in a good flick or turn on anything NOT related to news or politics. Let's face it, they're really just playing the same shit over and over again, or putting on boring pundits you're likely to ignore anyways.

Granted, I know the people here are political junkies, but for the sake of sanity, sometimes you just gotta get away from it. Again, TURN THAT SHIT OFF!

I just don't get it. The entire network takes the weekend off!

I almost wish MSNBC could issue and official statement as to why they can't work weekends. And what is their obsession with prisons sbout!
